The Shattering of Our Special Relationship

The United States and Israel have maintained a special relationship, geopolitically, since 1947. While it seems that Israel has benefitted more than most other nations, especially militarily, from our alliance, Israel knows that without us, it would have ceased to exist long ago.

But then, so would have western Europe and other countries around the world. Nazi Germany pretty much gobbled up most of Europe by 1939 and was freed by the US because we got involved, finally, in 1941.

Also, Soviet Russia would have had its border moved from the Baltic to the Atlantic had we left.

And had we not remained in South Korea after 1953, who knows if Japan, the Phillipines and Taiwan would be absorbed into a greater Chinese Empire?

So, we protect Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East, which would have been crushed and dissolved by its neighbors had we returned to our previous isolationist existence after World War II. With no real visible benefit that we gain from it. Other than support in the United Nations, without question.

Even Canada does not align itself with our positions all the time.

So, here we are. We have maintained that special alliance with Israel for almost eighty years, through thirteen American Presidents’ Administrations. Until now.

While there was a huge fallout during the Obama years, like many friendships in life, disagreements will occur. But even Obama was smart enough to recognize that it was important to maintain even icy connections without cutting off the friendship.

But now, the Harris-Biden Administration has gone farther to blow up that alliance by perpetuating an aggressive anti-Israel and anti-Semitic posture. It is clear to all that Biden’s Vice President is on a mission to subvert Israel and the American position going forward. With his tacit consent.

In recent weeks and days, the Kamster has perpetuated what amounts to a modern blood libel by suggesting Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Whether born of ignorance or calculation, Harris' rhetoric crosses a line into modern anti-Semitism that demands unequivocal condemnation.

She is extremely sympathetic to pro-Hamas, anti-Israel protests here are home, and during a recent rally, agreed with protesters when she said, “Listen, what he’s talking about, it’s real. That’s not the subject that I came to discuss today, but it’s real and I respect his voice.

If one were paying close attention to her actions and her words, she is telegraphing what she will do if she were to be elected President. Within weeks, she would begin to cut of military and financial aid to Israel and nod as its neighbors begin its final solution.

And by her recent statements and actions, no one, not even our own Jewish politicians, could prove otherwise. Her actions and words are loud and clear.

Then, the American-Israeli Special Relationship will be tossed into the dustbin of history, destroyed by the most anti-Semitic President we would ever elect.

God help us all.
