Another American Foreign Policy Disgrace

It was reported by the New York Post and other world-wide media sources that the Houthis attacked and later set fire to a Greek oil tanker this week in the Red Sea, posting footage of the carnage to mock the US and its allies who are supposed to be protecting the region’s vital shipping lines.

The tanker, Sounion, is operated under the Greek national flag. Greece is is an ally of Israel.

Both countries are partners in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and members of the Union for the Mediterranean, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international organizations. Israel is the second largest importer of Greek products in the Middle East.

Representative Mike Waltz (R-Florida) shared video of the ship explosion on X — and called it a failure of US foreign policy.

This is what Biden/Harris policy of appeasement towards Iran gets you… Houthi terrorists blowing 150,000 tons of crude oil into the Red sea,” Waltz said.

The Houthis are allies of Iran and both have vowed to destroy Israel by any means necessary. This most recent attack is the latest since March against Greek-flagged shipping, as well as a Belize-owned ship. Their attack is sending a message to Israel and the US that they can act unchecked with impunity.

Of course, as long as the Biden-Harris Administration remains, and if Kamala Harris is elected President, the Houthis, and Iran, believe they will not be held accountable by the United States.

Other countries also recognize American weakness in the world presently. But that will change under a Trump Presidency. And they remember how strong America was from 2017 to January, 2021.

Meanwhile, Iran and its clients will continue unchecked as long as Biden-Harris remain in charge of American foreign policy.

The world awaits the results of America’s election results in November.
