Yeah, that will help the winner after the general election. Such a great idea to blame the man who could either help the City, or tell the next Mayor, as Gerald Ford did fifty years ago, to “Drop Dead.” Who remembers that headline?
Desperate mayoral hopefuls will likely take aim at President Trump during the final Democratic primary debate Thursday night, after sparing with frontrunner Andrew Cuomo last week did little to move the needle with voters, experts said.
Cuomo and repeated runner-up Zohran Mamdani have already seemingly attempted to capitalize on Trump bashing, pitching their plans to fight the White House this week as protests against federal immigration enforcement raids rage in Los Angeles.
“The President and his policies could dominate the discussion Thursday as Democratic party leaders struggle to deal with Trump’s second term and the mayoral candidates look to break out of the crowded field with under two weeks to the June 24 primary.
“They can’t tee off on Trump about NYC chaos because he ‘promised’ (Mayor Eric) Adams he wouldn’t call in the National Guard as long as the mayor keeps a lid on things,” said political operative Ken Frydman.
“But they’ll still go after Trump on his immigration crackdown, provoking protests in the city.”
But wouldn’t it be more beneficial and smarter to call on New Yorkers to bring down the negative rhetoric on issues like immigration, rampant anti-Semitism, pro-Hamas support on college campuses, etc, while championing issues like support for casino gambling, elimination of congestion pricing, better primary and secondary education with a revamped Board of Education and more police protection?
Oh, wait… they are Democrats and they have no good ideas to make the “Greatest City In the World” even greater. So, instead, their best plan is to bash Trump.
And Mayor Adams will sit on the sidelines while the rest of these idiots make fools of themselves for not discussing the real issues. He may have proven that he is the smartest person running for Mayor by avoiding this year’s “Dumbocrat” primary.
And choosing Jessica Tisch to run the NYPD may have been Mayor Adams’ best decision of all.
Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has already insisted the NYPD would stand its ground and not let protests get out of control as the violence only escalated in Los Angeles and other major cities.
“Commissioner Tisch gave a very loud and clear message. We will allow peaceful protests, but we will not allow you to destroy our city or harm innocent people,” Adams said.
“And we will take action whenever that takes place.”
While Adams is proving that he is leading the City, the rest of the “stronzis” continue to bash Trump, proving that they are all @$$holes.
And the winner of that primary will be the biggest one of all.
