Say Good-Bye To the June Swoon

June is done. Does this mean we are done with the June Swoon?

While the Mets are currently 48 and 37, their record in June was 12 and 16, losing seven of the last ten, and three straight to a last place team. And yet, they are only a game and a half out of first in their division.

After an off day today, they come home tomorrow to start July with three against the Brewers and a Big Weekend Series to wrap up this Season's Subway Series against their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees. Yes, Aaron Judge vs Juan Soto will be the talk of the town.

They need to hit the ground running to put their play in June in the rearview mirror, never to be thought of again.

Everyone was in a slump. Including the pitching. Too many opportunities were blown or, like this weekend they were not playing up to expectations.

They have played four games into the second half, with 77 games left to play. Plenty of baseball left. And being only 1.5 games out of first, not really a lot of ground to recover.

So let’s get our boys back in focus, as we still have an achievable goal in front of us. And let’s get our cheering voices back as we scream:

LETS GO METS!!
