So, Early Voting is now complete in Florida. And by the end of today, most other States will be completed, as well.
There will still be mail-in ballots which can be received until Tuesday, November 3 across the country. And those which are received after are generally disqualified. However, a few States permit additional days beyond Election Day for all ballots to be received.
But, the primary question is this: How was the turnout in your State?
While verified counts are not yet official, it was calculated that almost 40% of all registered voters exercised the benefit of this legal service to cast their votes across Florida. And in Lake County, that same service revealed that 37% of all registered voters decided it was incumbent to vote early, as well.
The voting stations will be opened from 7 AM until 7 PM across both time zones on Tuesday, across the State. The time varies across other States, like New York and elsewhere. Check with your State or County Board of Elections for details.
After the phenomenal turnout in 2024, where almost 90% of all registered voters cast their votes across Florida and Lake County, it is anticipated that Tuesday will also be quite busy here.
Hopefully, other States will enjoy a huge turnout, also. It is the most patriotic thing a citizen can do - to defend the right to vote.
If you don’t vote, it behooves you to remain silent because you did not care enough to spend less than an hour of your time to voice your opinions and choices when it mattered most.
For the rest of us, whether your candidate, amendment or other ballot initiative won or lost, be proud of yourself because your opinion mattered when the chance to express it was presented, and you exercised it to those who live in your election district.
Thank you, especially from those who gave the Ultimate Service to guarantee and protect that right for all of us.
