The soak-the-rich proposal is buried in Mamdani’s campaign platform that calls to fix the City’s notoriously skewed property tax system, in which ritzy brownstones are hit at lower rates than homes and rentals in lower-income neighborhoods.
“Shift
the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more
expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods,” the proposal reads.
Ironic that the “unbiased” media had no urgency to review and complete a deep-dive into his campaign agenda before this time. Apparently, too many had chosen to excuse his socialist fire as they, as well, were somewhat sympathetic to his positions.
Oh, and to his anti-Semitic rhetoric.
You see, Mr Mamdani had been very vocal and supportive of Hamas, the Columbia protests and other anti-Israel and anti-Jewish-hate. And it was glossed over by the Lame Stream Media.
Suddenly, though, there seems to be an epiphany by some journalists who have taken a second look at the Democrat Socialist candidate for Mayor and realized he tried to hide a few fatal personal flaws when compared to the big loser of the recent primary. And we all know Andrew Cuomo has more than a few flaws of his own.
Certainly, many believe the voters will take a sober, second look at Mamdani, and hopefully, will realize neither man is worthy to be elected Mayor of the Greatest City In the World.
Perhaps, enough of the muck and dirt will be revealed on both men and will show the voting public that by electing either man, it will lead to additional decline of the well-being of every resident of the City.
