The Garden State Democrat made the gesture at a Democratic convention, in California of all places, placing his hand over his heart and then gesturing to the crowd with a straight arm and an open hand above shoulder height. Just like Musk.
The internet was on fire with comments on X and elsewhere. “If Elon Musk is a Nazi for doing this gesture.. Cory Booker is one too. Sorry, I don’t make the rules,” one viral post read.
And another, “Cory Booker did the thing. This is literally the Third Reich all over again. These are the darkest days ever. Democracy is doomed.”
“Same gesture. Different political party. Funny how that works,” Brandon Straka, founder of the Walk Away movement, wrote on X.
Not for a minute do I, or any reasonable person, will claim that Senator Booker is a Nazi sympathizer. Nor do I think that Elon Musk is one, either.
But it proves that the left will take a gesture made at an emotional point in a speech by a conservative and castigate the man for being human, and excuse the exact same gesture made by a liberal, saying it was just an innocent and emotional response to the reception of his speech.
Double standard? HELL, yeah. And the epitome of the hypocrisy which rages on the left.
So, enough with your false outrage unless you are willing to hold your liberal darling to the same standard. Otherwise, sit down and STFU.
Your hypocrisy is stomach-churning and nauseating.
