These ID'S include a US passport, a state Driver’s license or identification with REAL ID, or other "valid Federal or State government-issued photo identification." Not a Costco or library card. This order includes mail-in ballots which are due on or before Election Day.
"This country is so sick because of the the fake elections and the bad elections, and we're going to straighten it out one way or the other," Trump said before signing the order. "It's an honor to sign this one."
The executive order will also instruct the Election Assistance Commission to cut state funding if they don’t comply with taking measures to secure elections, and will instruct the Department of Justice to crack down on election-related crimes.
The order also calls on the Department of Homeland Security, alongside the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to comb through publicly available voter registration lists in parallel with immigration data bases to ensure consistency.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is instructed to provide Attorney General Pam Bondi with the list of noncitizens discovered to have illegally voted in elections.
Trump specifically targeted California’s election processes after the January wildfires around Malibu, saying, “I want voter ID for the people of California, and they all want it.”
Perhaps now, when the first Federal judge issues the expected TRO, the Supreme Court will FINALLY issue a “Cease and Desist” order to ALL Federal district and appellate courts preventing them from issuing these nationwide. Four Justices are already on board to stop this abuse of judicial activism, including, Kagan, Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch.
Once again, Donald Trump is proving to be a man of his word, as another campaign promise is fulfilled for the benefit of all.
