An Abysmal Governor and a Crooked Attorney General

Once again, Governor Krazy Kat is taking on President Trump in a “productive” high-stakes White House meeting where they discussed congestion pricing, Penn Station refurbishment and the Constitution Natural Gasline from Montrose, PA to Middleburgh, NY.

The sit-down came just a week after Hochul cast herself as leader of the anti-Trumpresistance” amid growing tensions with the President, especially after the feds moved to kill congestion pricing, as well as sued the Empire State over its sanctuary city policies for undocumented, illegal immigrants.

“While no formal agreements or decisions were reached, it was a productive conversation and we look forward to continuing the dialogue in the coming weeks,” Hochul’s spokesperson said.

And while the President also made no comment afterwards, his spokesperson, offered that it was a private conversation.

The MTA additionally faces a March 21 deadline from the Federal Highway Administration to stop collecting the $9 toll on drivers entering Manhattan below 60th Street, but the tolls are unlikely to stop while the lawsuit works its way through the courts.

While the Governor was visiting the nation’s capital, the New York Post also revealed that egg prices in the Empire State are being price-gouged by as much as 840%, according to the paper. Some places have reported one dozen eggs at $19.99.

The New York Attorney General’s Office was hit with 151 complaints about ripoff egg prices between January 1 and March 10, a rep from the office told The Post, with some of the problematic price tags advertising eggs at between $11.99 and $15.99 per dozen, on average.

The response from Attorney General Letitia James? “We are monitoring it,” she said. "And I am urging New Yorkers to report excessive prices to my office.”

So basically, she is doing nothing.

Her job is to make certain price-gouging does not occur during times of shortages or crises. And she is still sitting on her hands.

it is up to the AG’s Office to determine whether reported price-gouging instances are actually against the law or a just sticker shock, and businesses found to be price-gouging face a penalty of up to $25,000 per violation.

And as yet, no violations have been issued in either 2024 or 2025, since the bird flu outbreak began.

She had plenty of time to create havoc in a lawsuit which will eventually be overturned because NO ONE suffered ANY financial loss, and the State had no grounds to initiate it

But here, there are plenty of stores who are taking advantage of the people in a desperate situation, and Old Letitia is probably more concerned for her re-election campaign.

She is a failure and a fraud to her office and to the people she was sworn to protect.
