Throwing Out Four Years of Trash in 2025

Happy New Year and wishing you a Healthy 2025. This is my first commentary to kick off an exciting year.

I saw a story last night in The Independent which seems to sum up the last four years pretty well. The current and soon-to-be former President still seems to think he did a good enough job over his term to beat President-Elect Donald Trump.

Somehow, he thinks his legacy will cement his Administration as a defining, positive time which improved American lives.  Right. Like the high, out of control inflation, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the raging anti-Semitism against Israel, here and all around the world, the high cost of food and energy. The lie of  Hunter's pardon.

And the golden screw-up, the ignoble withdrawal from Afghanistan, where thirteen soldiers lost their lives needlessly because he decided he knew better than the plan put in place by his predecessor and now, his successor. Oh, and don’t forget how  he is now allowing the 9/11 masterminds to escape the death penalty  to live off the teat of the American taxpayer in sunny Guantanamo Bay.

So, because he is so delusional and mentally afflicted, his staff is reporting a “drained” and “depressed”  White House in the final weeks of Joe Biden’s term as the President works to cement his legacy and reflects on the 2024 election.

With less than one month until President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20, Biden has continually raged at his staff that it was “their fault” he lost. Not his.

And the topper of all this is that Biden has infused even banal White House events with retrospectives on his time in office and started sketching out the plans for his presidential library in Delaware, according to the outlet.

So delusional.

But we have nineteen and one half days until Biden is finally whisked off to the Delaware nursing home, where he will live out his fantasy. And a real leader will follow, finally, to extract us from the quagmire Biden leaves in his wake. At such a pivotal time in our history.

While the current White House staff mopes around in its pity-party, the rest of America awaits a new day where things will get done to clean up the mess and to truly brighten our national mood.

With vigor, speed and an energy not seen in many years.
