Krazy Kat Gets What She Has Wrought

It is coming to pass. After all the denials and evasive talk by Governor Krazy Kat, the MTA Board and other supportive politicians of the Cuomo-inspired congestion pricing ripoff, Sunday night's online New York Post is reporting the many companies who have already provided notices on “pass-along” charges to residents living in Manhattan south of 60th Street.

 

Oh joy! The idiots who voted for this clown against Lee Zeldin deserve what they have wrought. She made no secret of her support for this nightmare until she suspended it in June, in order to help elect Democrats.

And since November 6, she lifted her objections, claiming that she is implementing it with a “new, lower price schedule” of only $9.00, rather than the original $15.00 fee. She glosses over the impending price increases forthcoming after the Governor's race in 2026 and beyond.

People have already indicated that they will park elsewhere throughout the City and take the subway into Manhattan. Like that will work with alternate side parking regulations. There isn’t enough parking in the outer boros NOW to accommodate neighbors moving from one side of the street to the other.

Good luck finding parking in Carroll Gardens and Park Slope in Brooklyn; Long Island City, Sunnyside and Astoria in Queens; Morningside Heights, Harlem and Washington Heights in Manhattan; Todt Hill and Saint George in Staten Island; and the South Bronx, especially after the baseball season starts in March. And suddenly, does anyone think these unofficial, undesignated Park and Ride locations will be tolerated? Don’t think so.

Then, did anyone forget that Donald Trump strongly recommended against congestion pricing? Even AFTER Krazy Kat said on November 6 she was implementing it? He will make her pay for her stupidity, hubris and downright defiance by telling the Department of Transportation to withhold assistance to New York’s entire public transportation system.

Some of these include the LIRR, Metro-North, the ENTIRE NYC bus and subway system, and both the Niagra Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) and the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), as well as Amtrak, which passes through New York State.

And don’t forget her wish list to refurbish Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and her other transportation hub refurbishments throughout the State. Hmmm. That may not happen, either.

So, good job, Krazy Kat. In your efforts to raise money to line more pockets of your cronies with your stupid congestion pricing, you will have given every resident in New York to throw you out in 2026. 

And as was said earlier in this commentary, idiots voted you into office because you were a Democrat. But any idiot who votes for you again is purely a dumb@$$.

Unless you cease with this stupidity this week. The longer it goes on, the more harm and disservice you will commit to your constituents. And any chance to be re-elected.

Is it really all worth the $9.00 in the end? Not if you have any common sense left in that idiot brain of yours.
