And while it is not actually inscribed in the Hippocratic Oath to which every medical professional ascribes, it seems, as it was reported in the New York Post, New York Attorney General Letitia James is demanding that doctors are not permitted to follow that promise, must not comply with President Trump’s Executive Order regarding gender-altering surgery on minors and will enlist other attorneys-general to demand the same.
What is wrong with this person?
“Regardless of the availability of federal funding, we write to further remind you of your obligations to comply with New York State laws, including those that prohibit discrimination against individuals based on their membership in a protected class, such as sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, creed, color, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, military status, disability, or marital status,” James wrote in a letter to New York health care facilities.
“Electing to refuse services to a class of individuals based on their protected status, such as withholding the availability of services from transgender individuals based on their gender identity or their diagnosis of gender dysphoria, while offering such services to cisgender individuals, is discrimination under New York law,” she added.
So, wait. She wants doctors to violate their oaths to protect their patients in order to comply with what many people believe is unjustifiable law? And then, when some person files a complaint against a doctor for violating his oath because he followed this insane law and mutilated the plaintiffs, will she prosecute the surgeon?
Where does this insanity end? The law is immoral and MUST NOT be followed, especially as it relates to children.
And Letitia James has proven she is unqualified to be an Attorney General over and over again, must be voted out of office and should be disbarred.
