News Flash: It isn’t goodwill after you torture and starve someone for 582 days and counting, thinking you deserve kudos for this act. You don’t, because you and your group are a sadistic, evil, inhuman pile of $#!+.
Two Hamas officials told the Associated Press they anticipate the release will happen in the next 48 hours. All to show they want to play nice.
The terror group could potentially fuel a wider cease-fire deal, President Trump said Sunday night.
“I am happy to announce that Edan Alexander, an American citizen who has been held hostage since October 2023, is coming home to his family,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “I am grateful to all those involved in making this monumental news happen.”
The commander-in-chief’s statement came after it was reported earlier that Hamas said it was willing to release Alexander, a 21-year-old Israeli-American citizen from New Jersey, as part of new “intensified efforts to achieve a ceasefire, open border crossings, and allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.”
Sure. They want something. And once they release Edan, President Trump should tell the Hamas leadership, and Iran, to pound sand. Let them wait for it, like the Alexander family waited for their son to come home.
Along with Alexander, 58 other hostages remain in Hamas captivity since the cease-fire deal broke down in March. What about them? They should be released now, as well.
Here is an idea. Release ALL the hostages BEFORE ANY CONSIDERATION is given for any request or demand made by Hamas, humanitarian or otherwise. Let Iran provide the relief since Hamas was following their orders.
The condition for any aid has remained a non-starter for Israel in the negotiations and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s vow to keep the war going until all of Hamas is eliminated. OR unconditionally surrenders.
THAT would be a reason to give aid to Gaza.
