After this weekend attack by the Yemeni Houthi terrorists, and their client sponsor Iran, Israel is ramping up its active IDF troops.
In fact, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet approved the new war plans in an early morning vote just hours after the Israeli military chief said the army was calling up tens of thousands of reserve soldiers in a bid to defeat the terrorist group.
Details of the plans came as Israel’s IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir told troops earlier Sunday that the Jewish state was ramping up its operations in the Palestinian enclave, Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported.
“This week, we are issuing tens of thousands of call-up orders to our reservists in order to intensify and expand our operation in Gaza,” Zamir said.
"Attacks by the Houthis emanate from Iran," Prime Minister Netanyahu wrote on X on Sunday after the attack, "Israel will respond to the Houthi attack against our main airport AND, at a time and place of our choosing, to their Iranian terror masters."
President Trump is expected to visit the region next week, leaving a small window of opportunity open for a ceasefire. But it is up to Hamas, the Houthis and Iran to show they are interested. Otherwise, all bets are off.
The clock is ticking.
