The Tariffs Are In Place To Protect America's Workers and Economy

According to Merriam-Webster, a tariff is defined as follows:

 

1: a. schedule of duties imposed by a government on imported or in some countries exported goods

b: a duty or rate of duty imposed in such a schedule

2: a schedule of rates or charges of a business or a public utility

This was essentially the same definitions we were taught when I was in High School and and again in college. But apparently, many were sleeping during that class. 

Now, they speak with stupidity.

This past week, President Trump's tariffs, which were imposed in April, were blocked by the US Court of Trade, to the glee of the People’s Republic. That ruling was immediately appealed, and was overturned.

Then yesterday, while speaking to the employees and management of US Steel, during the announcement that Nippon Steel was making a $14Bn investment, President Trump announced a 25% increase to 50% of tariffs to protect US Steel and other domestic steel companies from foreign competition.

Right away, the usual suspects, liberals, Democrats and the Lame Stream Media, anti-Trumpers all,  began wringing their hands, wailing and gnashing their teeth that this was a horrible abuse of power. They cried that the cost of automobiles and dishwashers, housing and commercial buildings were going to cost more.

But since they don’t understand Economics 101, they look stupid since one does not need to buy these products on a weekly or other frequent basis. In addition. It is actually a false flag since the US would NOT be importing as much inferior FOREIGN Steel.

“Pittsburgh will very soon be respected around the world as the Steel City again,” Trump told the crowd.

“We don’t want America’s future to be built with shoddy steel from Shanghai, we want it built with the strength and the pride of Pittsburgh."

He is PROTECTING America’s workforce and our economy by instituting these tariffs. This is all part of his “America First” promise.

 Too bad the left does not want to see America succeed on the world market, and chooses instead, to cheer for America’s failure.

Hamas Deserves to Reap What It Sowed - But It Won't

Evil truly lives in Gaza. Sadistic bastards taunted Israeli captives with images of the protests at Columbia University, bragging about having an “army” of propagandists to spread their hate.

 

Freed hostage Shlomi Ziv claimed he was shown disturbing images and stories of the protests that engulfed the Upper Manhattan campus last year while he was in captivity in the Gaza Strip.

“With the news report on, his captors told him, ‘You see, we have our own people everywhere,” a court filing from Thursday said. “They then told him that Hamas has an ‘army’ operating out of Gaza that focuses specifically on media and sending Hamas propaganda and messaging throughout America.”

The Manhattan campus has been a hotbed for anti-Israeli demonstrations that have terrorized Jewish students.

Are you proud of your students NOW, Claire Shipman? This is what your tolerance of hate-speech has wrought.

As for Hamas, they don’t deserve a ceasefire. But, the innocents who did not support Hamas need to find the peace that the evil, satanic, sadistic Hamas denied them.

It is said that a deal is close; but Hamas should get NOTHING. Their demands should NOT be met.

They deserve the same treatment that the NAZIS received for the evil they caused onto so many. But they will get treated more humanely.

Because Israel is a more humane country than the Hamas sympathizers want the world to believe.

Putin's Folly

In another apparent rebuff to President Trump's continuous overtures to end the Russian-started war in Ukraine, the Kremlin revealed Thursday that President Putin has no plans to pow-wow with his US counterpart. Basically, a "BIG F-U” to Trump.

 

“We’re going to find out whether or not he’s tapping us along or not, and if he is, we’ll respond a little bit differently, but it will take about a week and a half to two weeks,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Wednesday.

Asked whether he believed Putin wanted to end the war, Trump said, “I can’t tell you that, but I’ll let you know in about two weeks.”

He spoke with the Russian strongman for two hours last week and thought he’d cinched a deal to begin ceasefire negotiations immediately.

Instead, Putin has continued to reveal his true intentions to move the war forward, to gain as much land as possible, without regard to world opinion.

Since then, Moscow launched its worst ever military assault on Ukraine, spurring Trump to declare Putin had “gone absolutely CRAZY” and that he was “playing with fire” by refusing to engage in peace talks.

Putin has continued to delay, obfuscate and hinder the process in order to give Russia the upper hand. But Trump is growing increasingly testy and impatient with Putin, and it’s quite evident that he is almost ready to walk .

Putin may have pushed Trump to react by elevating sanctions, which could cripple Russia’s economy. And it would be Putin’s fault.

The Russian military has lost too many people in pursuit of Putin’s folly and is growing impatient. How many more soldiers will be lost before the generals’ patience is exhausted?

When will the overthrow of Putin finally happen?

Would a Foreign Court Rule Against Its Own Country?

The anti-Trump crowd are having a field day, overcome with glee as the little-known US Trade Court in Manhattan, struck down President Trump's “Liberation Day” tariffs.

Of course, most of these same celebrants would be disappointed and cry if Trump wiped out cancer. Because it was Trump.

But since the start of these tariffs, while the markets were early on in a bit of a tailspin, they seemed to right their ships and  they were set when the tariffs began.

AND, the tariffs had the effect that was intended.

Countries began negotiating a more fair playing field with the United States.

The ruling is certainly short-sighted and the effect could void the deals already made with the UK, the EU, Canada, and the biggest foreign actor of all, China. That would be a disaster to the US.

As a result, the case now heads to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and potentially the Supreme Court.

Today, the futures are up in response, the experts claim. But they easily could have been up, based on the recent trends anyway.

The court’s ruling covers a wide range of tariffs, including levies on fentanyl-related goods from Canada, Mexico and China, as well as reciprocal tariffs that had impacted nearly every major US trading partner.

Of course, right out of the box, China praised the ruling and urged the US to permanently abandon the tariffs.

“We call on the United States to correct its mistake and lift all unilateral tariffs,” a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

Which begs the question, which can be applied to many Court rulings:

Which country do our courts work for? Apparently, NOT the United States.

Rubio Temporarily Suspends Student Visas

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a "new visa restriction policy" targeting "foreigners who work to undermine the rights of Americans."

 

"For too long, Americans have been fined, harassed and even charged by foreign authorities for exercising their free speech rights," Rubio wrote in an announcement on X.

Effective immediately, the US government is suspending the issuance of student visas for foreign student applicants until procedures are in place to review the social media posts of all foreign applicants. And why not? 

We don’t need to import additional anti-American and anti-Semitic protesters to infest our college campuses as we have witnessed over the last few years.

We have enough homegrown agitators already enrolled and causing unrest at colleges, without importing more hate.

“Today, I am announcing a new visa restriction policy that will apply to foreign officials and persons who are complicit in censoring Americans. Free speech is essential to the American way of life, a birthright over which foreign governments have no authority," wrote Rubio.

Colleges like Harvard and Columbia are already up in arms, threatening to take the Trump Administration to court over this. But they have failed to see this action is a result of their own inaction by allowing foreigners to harass students who are endeavoring to get a quality education.

Had these college administrators protected the rights of EVERYONE, not just the free speech rights of a few, this action would not even have been considered. But, unlike those in the clearly anti-Semitic Biden regime, the Trump Administration will protect the rights of ALL students, including Jewish students.

A Rubio cable sent Tuesday ordered pauses of U.S. Embassy and consulate interviews for student visa applications.

"Effective immediately, in preparation for an expansion of required social media screening and vetting, consular sections should not add any additional student or exchange visitor (F, M, and J) visa appointment capacity until further guidance is issued septel, which we anticipate in the coming days," the cable read.

“Septel" is the State Department term for future guidance to come.

And it is a funny thing about social media and internet sites; a good forensic deep dive will reveal posts which have been deleted.

Something all these smart genius, America-haters should have thought about before they spewed their venom.

Another Outright Hamas Deception

I don’t believe in Satan or Hell; at least not as it is taught by the Catholic or Christian religions. To me, that was a concept offered by the early Bishops to teach the difference of good and evil, and to institute fear in the uneducated masses.

 

But in today's world, I see Hamas as the personification of a Great Deceiver, willing to say or do anything to achieve its goal: the elimination of Israel by any means necessary.

I have Muslim friends who are devout and I respect that. They practice what truly was meant in the Koran, not the hate espoused by those who have hijacked what was said in their Holy Book. After all, Islam is one of the three Abrahamic religions which find its origins in the teachings of Abraham.

They, like many reasonable people, understand that Hamas, and the theocracy of Iran and its clients, have stolen the words of Mohammed to achieve their own evil ends.

Today, it was reported that Hamas claims that it had been presented with a new US proposal that would see a 70-day ceasefire and the release of five live hostages on the first and final days of the truce, a Hamas-tied Palestinian official told the media.

The deal Hamas claimed to have received would also include a partial withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, the official said. This supposed deal would also include the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners being held by Israel, many serving lengthy prison sentences.

According to US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, the deal was far different than the lie Hamas was reporting.

Instead, the latest Witkoff proposal includes the release of 10 living and 19 dead hostages in return for 45 to 60 days of ceasefire and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

“What I have seen from Hamas is disappointing and completely unacceptable,” Witkoff said.

He said Israel agreed to the terms of the deal he proposed, and that it would offer a path to a permanent cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

And of course, Israel rejected the Hamas fabrication outright. It makes no sense to Israel and its desire to continue to survive.

So. Maybe there is a Satan or Great Evil Deceiver  who tries to trick some to wreak havoc. But the only people who follow the lie are those who follow the Hamas version of the Koran and those who practice the untruths of that hijacked theology.

Sane people would never accept the hate those untruths envelope.

The Lying Media Is Seen For What It Is

Those of us who had our eyes open and paid attention to the last four years, know we don’t need to buy Jake Tapper's book to know that Joe Biden was never fit to serve as President. But, the Lame Stream Media and the Democrats kept up with the lies to conceal how debilitating his condition really was.

We were told this was the most agile, analytic, impressive person who EVER served as President and we better sit down and pay attention, and stop our “unfounded” claims which were destroying our “Democracy”. They knew best.

Actually, they all knew $#!+.

First of all, we ARE NOT a democracy; we are a Constitutional Republic practicing democratic ideals. 

Second, we saw with our own eyes what we witnessed each day and night on TV. And no matter how hard they tried to spin it (and they tried very hard), eventually with a twenty-four hour news cycle, more news outlets than the “legacy” media, and other sources on social media and elsewhere, the truth would leak out.

On July 21, 2020, I wrote a commentary called Joe Biden, Likeable Man, Lost Forever, and was called out as a conspiracy theorist, who didn’t know what I was talking about out, implying since I was not a doctor, and lost many friends across social media and personally, because I wrote this:

“Now here we are in 2020, and a much older, by 33 years, Joe Biden is the presumptive nominee for the Democrats. But this is not the quirky, amusing, thoughtful Joe Biden from 1987. This is the angry, forgetful (at best), hijacked Biden who is being used by the Democrat Party as a placeholder until the nomination, or the election.

Sadly, he is not being protected by his wife or his children. This is a man who is suffering from some form of dementia or Alzheimer’s. It is sad that his legacy will be that he was a sick, old man, who fought to achieve something he would not remember because he was used, misused and abused by a party who left him in the dust and did not give a $#!+ about him. For this, Mrs. Biden and his children should be ashamed of themselves. But they aren’t because they don’t give a $#!+ either, or they were bought off. Either way, they are a disgrace.”

And now we know there was more, knowing he has Stage IV prostate cancer which has metastasized in his bones. Which, they claim, didn’t show up until last week in a routine exam.

Prominent doctors and oncologists have stated that he had this for several years, probably before he ran in 2020.

And he knew it. As did his family and his handlers.

So, knowing that Jake Tapper and anyone else who is telling the Biden Era story lied to us, and were complicit in the deceit and the cover-up, are now trying to regain our trust by publishing their books. But they all failed in their primary responsibilities to report ALL the news, not just that which promoted their agenda and produced a narrative which fit.

Of course, we know that the media elites will buy up each other’s books, the New York Times will classify it as a number one best-seller, and they will all congratulate each other for their “wonderful accomplishments” in investigative journalism. Like they did this year at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

They may all even win Pulitzers, which obviously has lost its status and stature, since it has become nothing more than a participation trophy. Much like you give every six-year-old  for showing up on Saturday to play Soccer.

So, please spare us anymore of your hypocrisy, Jake. And the same for you, Anderson, Leslie, Morning Joe, Todd, Snuffalopougus, and all the rest of you Democrat Party hacks. You all failed us. But more importantly, you failed the truth.

Don’t expect us to buy your books. It will be a cold day in Hell if that happens.

You are all modern day propagandists, like your hero Joseph Goebbels: "A lie told once remains a lie, but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth.”

Does Cuomo Pass the Shedding Snake Skin Test?

Former NYS Governor and NYC Mayoral hopeful Andrew Cuomo is currently leading the cast of thousands running against him, polling at 37% for the Democrat primary to be held in June. His closest competitor is extreme left Socialist Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, an avowed supporter of Hamas and all things Hamas-supported, is at 18%.

 

Current failing NYC Mayor Eric Adams was polling at 6% before he decided to run for reelection as an independent.

But Cuomo has a problem.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened a criminal investigation into the former New York Governor, as of late May 2025 and reports indicate, related to his testimony before Congress regarding his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York, specifically concerning nursing home deaths.

The investigation was initiated after House Republicans alleged Cuomo lied under oath in 2024 about his involvement with a July 2020 state report on nursing home infections and deaths.

Cuomo, who resigned as Governor in 2021 amid a barrage of sexual harassment allegations he vehemently denies, began soliciting key powerbrokers to support his political comeback last year, but began his leftward tilt as polling for the Democratic primary showed his strongest challenger is Mamdani.

“He knows his past positions are incredibly unpopular with Democratic primary voters, who he is trying to trick and fool,” said Bill Neidhardt, a former top aide to ex-Mayor Bill de Blasio who is now part of a political action committee trying to get Mamdani elected mayor.

It will be a tough next few weeks for Andrew Cuomo, with a lot more than an avowed Socialist to overcome. And Mamdani is just one of many others running, as reported in the New York Post.

And, he also has to run against the mess he made for himself, with no one else’s help.

Revisiting the Meaning of Memorial Day

This weekend, we kick off the unofficial start of Summer with our celebration of Memorial Day. But for those of us in Florida, we pretty much have had Summer since Easter Sunday, when the thermometer hit almost 90*. And it has been 90 or higher most days since then.

 

And this weekend, many of us will be setting up to grill with friends, enjoying a cold brew and maybe even go to the Beach. All summer fun activities.

But before you do, take time, especially on Monday, to remember those ŵho paid the Ultimate Sacrifice so we can have the freedoms and liberties we take for granted as Americans.

Back in May, 2013, when I began writing these commentaries, I wrote one about this Holiday. I would like to share an excerpt from that commentary called The Meaning of Memorial Day, from May 24, 2013:

“However, it seems we have lost some of the meaning of Memorial Day. Sure, we know it is one of our federal holidays, like Labor Day, Columbus Day and Presidents' Day. But do we understand the history and significance of this special day?

Initially, it was created after the American Civil War to honor those soldiers who died, whether Union or Confederate, as they were all Americans. The holiday was called Decoration Day, because it was felt, that friends and families would go to the gravesites of the deceased and adorn the grave with flowers, plants, ribbons or other appropriate decoration. By the early 20th century, the holiday evolved not only to honor Civil War dead, but any member of the Armed Forces who died in battle. 

The name was changed, as well, to Memorial Day and moved to May 31 throughout the country in order to be consistent.

This holiday's purpose should not be confused with Veterans Day, initially called Armistice Day to celebrate the end of WWI, which honors all veterans, living and now deceased. These honorees did not have to die in battle to be so honored, only that they served.

In 1970, Memorial Day was moved to the last Monday in May. This was done so that we would have several three-day weekends to make our workweeks somewhat more efficient for business. Other holidays which fall on Mondays for this purpose are MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Labor Day and Columbus Day.

The remaining holidays stayed on their calendar date. These are New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Initially, Veterans Day was moved to the last Monday in October, but veterans' groups complained, so the Congress moved the holiday back to November 11th.

So, while you are in your backyard, the park or other site enjoying your Memorial Day party, take a moment to close your eyes, say a prayer, and thank all the deceased military who gave their lives protecting our freedom, preserving our liberty and allowing us to live in the most democratic country the world has ever seen.”

Please remember the men and women who died on the battlefields and on the seas so we can enjoy all we have in the United States of America, Land of the Free Because of the Brave.

The Penny Dies an Expensive Death

A penny for your thoughts. A penny saved is a penny earned. Let me put my two cents in. Even the old three-penny opera. These all will soon go by the wayside. Like the Model-T, the Edsel and fins on a Cadillac.

 

What they all have in common? They have all seen better days and times, expressions and ideas which have become old and hackneyed (just like THAT word).

It was widely anticipated since February and now reported that the US Mint has placed its final order of penny blanks and will stop producing the coin when those run out by early next year, marking the beginning of the end for one of the oldest continually printed money pieces in America, a Treasury Department spokesperson confirmed Thursday.

Why? Because it costs four cents to mint a penny.

Soon, we will see the Lincoln Head coin, minted since 1909 and its reverse, the Lincoln Memorial, a mainstay since it replaced the wheat penny in 1959, hit the road, Jack.

And what about advertisers and marketers? How will they sell their products, having people think whatever it is being sold is a bargain at $XXX.99? Will they round up to $X.00 or round down to $X.95?

How about the sales tax? It will, no matter what you buy, generally total the cost back to that elusive odd amount, not a flat total. Do you round to the nearest nickel?

Are we now Canada? That’s what Canadians do.

There are currently a whopping 114 billion pennies in circulation in the US, according to the agency. Do you save your pennies as a reminder that it has been in continuous circulation, in various forms? Since 1792.

Numismatists will be calling to offer premiums for your now useless coins. Let them make you an offer you can’t refuse.

So, good-bye to the oldest coins used in the USA. We hardly knew you.

Garbarino Almost Sleepily Sinks Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill"

Long-time Long Island Republican Congressman Peter King retired in 2021 after serving Southern Nassau and Suffolk Counties for eighteen years. Not once, did he ever fall asleep in the Congress serving his constituents. When he retired, he was seventy-seven years old.

The same cannot be said about the man who replaced him, Andrew Garbarino. And he is only forty years old.

Congressman Andrew Garbarino had a rude awakening Thursday morning after snoozing through final passage of President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill", with threats of a potential primary challenge from politicos enraged at his buffoonery. Deservedly so.

The moderate Republican, who occasionally breaks with his party on crucial votes, figured by using the ruse of sleeping, he would not have to take a stand on the “big, beautiful bill”. Which squeaked by at 215 to 214.

But by doing so, he opened himself to criticism and ridicule by Members of the House on both sides of the aisle, and to the ire of his constituents for not voting as their representative.

He is as much a failure as “Lying” George Santos was. It makes those who votes for him look foolish. And they may not forget this. He has opened himself up to be primaried.

“Andrew Garbarino did not make it in time. He fell asleep in the back, no kidding,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) revealed after the bill passed the House 215-214 after a marathon all-night session.

He tried to make light of it, but he was clearly annoyed. It was the most critical bill put forth since Johnson was named Speaker, and clearly jeopardized his leadership.

A Long Island Republican source said state and local party leaders were apoplectic about Garbarino “coming across like a buffoon” for conking out with Trump’s agenda on the line, noting it could prompt serious primary challenges.

“He’s losing his juice as the most senior congressman,” the source said. “I’m getting calls from party leaders that this guy is disloyal to Trump. He was known in the past to be very independent from the party.”

Even New York Democrats found opportunities to mock him. One posted a meme as “Rep” Van Winkle in an old-time nightcap.

“It’s just incredible. It’s beyond belief,” Pat Halpin, a Democrat considering a run for the seat, said. “It’s clearly one of the most important votes, whether you’re for it or against it. While Garbarino slept, health care took a huge hit.”

And he clearly annoyed New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar, who added “Missing the budget vote is a very real concern for me and the local Conservative Party leaders. Whatever the reason, it’s a great disappointment.”

No matter whatever good Congressman Gabarino has done in the past, he will have an uphill climb to gain favor with many people if he wants to have a successful run for reelection.

Otherwise, he could be the difference for Republicans keeping the House.

Only to be remembered as the South Shore’s version of that clown, George Santos.

Trump Calls Out Ramaphosa on Apartheid

President Trump confronted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa Wednesday with claims that the country is carrying out a genocide of white farmers, ordering the Oval Office’s lights be dimmed to show an inflammatory five-minute video detailing purported evidence of crimes against humanity.

The footage played at the meeting showed left-wing populist leader Julius Malema calling for the murder of members of South Africa’s 4.5 million-strong white community, which comprises about 7.3% of the population, and a roadside memorial ostensibly for dozens of murdered white farmers.

“Revolution demands at some point there must be killing,” Malema said in one clip, with several others showing the Economic Freedom Fighters leader dancing in packed stadiums while singing, “kill the Boer, the farmer!”

Several neighbors of mine emigrated to the US several years ago. When this became a covered issue in the media last year, they told me that since Nelson Mandela died in 2013, life for the White minority became increasingly difficult, which prompted them to move to the US in 2017.

While they were in the financial industry in Jo’burg, they saw the reality around them.

The US President has fast-tracked refugee status for the country’s Afrikaner minority, with an initial group of more than four dozen arriving this month, and told Ramaphosa that a friend of his from South Africa said “they take your land and they kill you” if you’re white.

“I will say, apartheid, terrible,” said Trump. “That was the biggest story, that was reported all the time. This is sort of the opposite of apartheid. What’s happening now is never reported.”

“What you saw, the speeches that were being made, one that is not government policy,” Ramaphosa insisted.

“Why wouldn’t you arrest that man?” Trump asked rhetorically. “That was a stadium that holds 100,000 people, and I hardly saw an empty seat.”

As Ramaphosa left the White House after about three hours, he told reporters the meeting “went very well.”

Let’s see if Ramaphosa takes back to South Africa the message Trump gave him to stop the reverse apartheid, which rages across South Africa.

Treat Anti-Semitism Like the HATE-CRIME That It Is

In a sick, perverse act, two Israeli embassy staffers were shot to death last night outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. The gunman, Elias Rodriguez, who shouted, “Free, free Palestine” as he opened fire, was immediately apprehended by Metropolitan Police.

 

The suspect, who was apprehended by event security, was seen pacing back and forth outside the museum leading up to the shooting, Police Chief Pamela Smith said.

Why wasn’t his suspicious behavior addressed and questioed prior to the shooting? This was a failure of those on charge of the event’s security. Had he been confronted, this horrible act could have been avoided.

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were friends, colleagues and about to become engaged, friends and co-workers reported. They were planning a trip to Jerusalem to honor and celebrate their engagement.

They were shot outside the American Jewish Committee’s ACCESS Young Diplomats Reception just after 9 PM in Washington, DC.

“Yaron and Sarah were our friends and colleagues. They were in the prime of their lives,” the Embassy of Israel to the USA wrote on X.

“This evening, a terrorist shot and killed them as they exited an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in DC. The entire embassy staff is heartbroken and devastated by their murder. No words can express the depth of our grief and horror at this devastating loss. Our hearts are with their families, and the embassy will be by their side during this terrible time.”

The Mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu all expressed outrage over yet another hateful, anti-Semitic act against Jews.

 The FBI and the DOJ have offered assistance to the Metropolitan Police to investigate this latest crime.

This is not Nazi Germany in the 30s and 40s. It is disgusting that anti-Semitism is allowed to be openly displayed, and not treated as a hate-crime until after an actual crime has been committed.

Along with the anti-Semitic acts which are tolerated by University administrators, this is truly a perversion of American values. Every other group is defended when even simple offenses like refusing to bake a cake is called out as a hate-crime, but violent acts against Jews are overlooked, until murder is involved.

This CANNOT continue.

An Old Movie Title Mirrors Current Events

When a future employer asks to see the diploma of a future employee prospect, you know, just for good measure, just wondering how that Columbia or other college graduate will respond? Will he or she admit to the employer that it was destroyed because it was ripped up and burned during yet another anti-Semitic rage against Jewish students and Israel? While exercising their Free Speech rights?

 

And what if Mr Goldstein or Ms Rabinowitz isn’t impressed with their independent, but stupidly misplaced, understanding of the Constitution? What then? Will they scream anti-Semitic epithets at them, too?

Yeah, maybe THAT will intimidate the Jewish employer to give them a job because they went to Columbia. NOT!

The destruction of diplomas at Columbia happened today by these idiot college @$$holes to protest and ruin other students’ rights.

Protesting anti-Israel students inside the Upper Manhattan ceremony also tried to drown out acting President Claire Shipman’s commencement address with raucous chants of “free Palestine!” and demanding the release of former graduate student Mahmoud Khalil, who was detained by ICE agents in March and is currently awaiting deportation.

Outside Wednesday’s ceremony, which involved about 12,000 graduates and an estimated 25,,000 family and friends, some newly minted anti-Israel grads continued the upheaval by torching their diplomas in protest, loudly booing, chanting and brandishing signs denouncing the Jewish state for alleged “atrocities” committed in its war against Hamas.

Columbia University Apartheid Divest group, or CUAD, posted on X on Tuesday, “WEAR A MASK! GET LOUD! BRING NOISE! NO COMMENCEMENT AS USUAL UNDER GENOCIDE!”

Ahead of this year’s ceremony, an announcement went out admonishing attendees that “audience interruption is not permitted,” and that anyone who does so “may be asked to leave the venue.”

A number of students in the section designated for graduates from Columbia’s sister school, Barnard College, wore keffiyeh headscarves during the ceremony and were among the loudest voices shouting down Shipman’s remarks.

And of course, Shipman expressed words which agreed with the protesters, typical Socialist Liberal that she is. She, too, is a disgrace and an embarrassment to Columbia’s traditional mission to provide a safe and excellent education  for EVERYONE.

Apparently, except for Jewish students and those who stand by them. Such a hateful scene and display of anti-Semitism. The Mufti is smiling from Hell.

There was a movie from 1969 which, by its title, shows how stupid these college graduate @$$holes are. The story was similar, where protesting raged; but the purpose was for a far more noble cause which ultimately showed what the protest was for. Which was not to glorify hate.

The Manhunt Continues in New Orleans and Surrounding States

Last week, ten high-profile and dangerous criminals escaped the Orleans Justice Center in New Orleans. Thus far, five of the inmates have been recaptured and are now held in the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

 

The five who remain at large "are considered to be armed and dangerous,'' Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill said, who lauded efforts to recapture the escapees.

They were allegedly helped by an employee of the prison.

Jail employee Sterling Williams, 33, has been charged with multiple counts of being a principal to simple escape and malfeasance in office. Williams told investigators he complied with a demand from one of the inmates to shut off the water to a cell, allowing the escapees to rip out a toilet and sink unit and climb through the hole in the wall that was created, Murrill said in a statement.

In the arrest affidavit, Williams said one of the inmates threatened to stab him with a "shank",  a homemade knife,  if he didn't follow instructions.

The daring escape from a long-troubled facility has put some of those closest to the crimes of the fugitives on edge, while other New Orleans residents say they've been going about business as usual.

While it is possible that Sterling Williams may have been threatened with harm if he didn’t comply with the inmates, he aided and abetted their escape.

As an employee, he could have alerted prison management to the dilemma and challenges he faced. Then, the escape could have been stopped before it started.

Meanwhile, the prosecutors who put at least one of the inmates behind bars are worried. Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams told reporters two of the lawyers who tried the case against Derrick Groves, who was convicted of two charges of second-degree murder and two charges of attempted second-degree murder with him have left town with their families "out of fear of retribution and retaliation."

He admitted he is personally afraid for his colleagues.

Anyone who is found to be aiding and abetting the remaining escapees, or harboring them, will be dealt with as criminals themselves.

A Lesson Learned By NOT Doing What Biden Did - Nothing

Most men, by the time they are thirty-five, annually need to do a prostate exam, both digitally and the blood test, known as a Prostatic Specific Antigen test or PSA. While the digital test is uncomfortable, it is a ten second test, giving you another year of peace.

The PSA has acceptable levels for specific age ranges, which rise based on a man's age. Under 1 is great, while over 4 needs to be addressed, which could result in cancer.

Certainly, as a man passes 60 years old, that number will be higher, but generally, a range of 2 to 3 is the norm for many men.

It was reported in many media sources that former President Biden hasn’t had a PSA test done since 2014, and his most recent test revealed his PSA was over 9.0. Totally unacceptable on both counts.

While the test has been around since the 1970s, in 1987, the test was proposed as a screening tool for early detection of prostate cancer. The use of PSA testing for prostate cancer screening became widespread in the 1990s, leading to a significant increase in the detection rate of prostate cancer. 

Again, no excuse for Biden or his doctors not to utilize this safe method for early detection.

“Prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer,” a Biden rep went on in response to speculation that the 82-year-old had been secretly diagnosed while in office.

Sunday’s announcement that Biden had an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones shocked longtime members of the Democrat’s inner circle, some of whom expressed befuddlement that the disease could have advanced to such a stage without being detected.

If it is caught early, generally it can be treated and can be stopped from advancing to the point where virtually nothing can be done, as in Biden’s case. Had he gone to have the test annually, its advancement could have been halted.

Dr Zeke Emanuel, a well-respected oncologist and architect of the Affordable Care Act, told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in a Monday appearance that Biden has “had this for many years, maybe even a decade, growing there and spreading.”

He continued, “He did not develop it in the last 100 to 200 days,” Emanuel added. “He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021.”

This sad fact should be a wake-up call for men to get at least the PSA test every year. Most insurance plans, including Medicare will pay for it.

Women generally get their cancer testing done every year because of the prevelance of breast cancer and other cancers as they age. When you go for your test, you should remind the men in your life to get theirs done at the same time.

We are an aging population and we need to take some basic steps to deal with our health to prevent problems. It really is the responsible thing to do.

Getting older is tough, so do what you can to give yourself a chance and give yourself peace of mind.

 

Another Democrat Embarrasses Himself Trying to Be Relevant

Senator Chris Van Hollen is  another of those irrelevant Democrats who is starving for attention. And does and says crazy things to try to get it.

 

First, he runs off to El Salvador, neglecting his constituents, by claiming he is fighting for a “Maryland Man” who was deported because he is an illegal, who traffics other illegals across state lines and beats the crap out of his wife.

Then, he ignores the Mom of Rachel Morin, mother of five children, who was murdered by another illegal. Without expressing a modicum of remorse or sympathy.

Today, it was posted all over that he said to SecState Marco Rubio during a hearing, “First, I have to tell you directly and personally, that I regret voting for you for Secretary of State.”

To which Rubio replied, “Well, first of all, your regret for voting for me confirms I am doing a good job.” Not the attention Van Hollen was looking for.

Rubio continued, "In the case of El Salvador, absolutely, absolutely, we deported gang members, gang members -- including the one you had a margarita with. And that guy is a human trafficker, and that guy is a gang banger, and that and the evidence is going to be clear."

Van Hollen whined. "Mr. Chairman, he can't make unsubstantiated comments like that," Van Hollen protested. "Secretary Rubio should take that testimony to the federal court of the United States because he hasn't done it under oath!"

Van Hollen was noticeably relevant today, as he was embarrassed by the SecState for being a smart@$$ and being shown, instead, that he is just another Democrat Dumb@$$, failing miserably to be relevant.

Another Irrelevant Democrat Crawls Out From Under a Rock

Lately, the Democrat game plan for the old geezers in the party is to try to find their relevance. They will say or do anything and everything possible to still put themselves to the forefront and get that adulation.

The latest seeker of former glory is none other than failed Wannabee, Never-was President, Madame DeFarge, Hillary Clinton.

She recently made an appearance at the 92 Street Y in New York City, where she was asked by moderator Margaret Hoover what advice she had for the first female President of the United States.

The Queen of the "Basket of Deplorables" Comment did not hesitate when she, without equivocation, said, "Well, first of all, don’t be a handmaiden to the patriarchy, which kind of eliminates every woman on the other side of the aisle, except for very few."

Clinton pointed to Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski as one of the "few" women in the Republican Party she respected. Murkowski has been a strong critic of Trump at times, including when she voted to convict him during his second impeachment trial in 2021.

She also responded favorably when asked if former Representative Liz Cheney was a good candidate to lead the Republican ticket at some point in the future.

“Look, first we have to get there, and it is, you know, obviously so much harder than it should be," Clinton said. "So, you know, if a woman runs who I think would be a good president, as I thought Kamala Harris would be, and as I knew I would be, I will support that woman."⁰

Well, at least she is consistent. She certainly has recognized failures, just like her, when she sees them.

And if you recall, after she lost in 2016, she suggested WHITE women voted against her at the direction of their husbands. Like women don’t know how to recognize stupidity when they hear it spoken by a racist, anti-woman, has-been like this old hag.

She is a bitter, angry person who thinks she is better and smarter than everyone else. But actually, she ain’t better than anyone.

And other than a few old liberals, looking for something to do on an uneventful day in May, she still thinks she has something relevant to say that people want to hear. But she doesn’t.

She is going to continue to force-feed her opinions until, finally, she is told to stay away. Even insulting other women is not helping to sell her brand. She doesn’t get it.

Her claim to fame has long passed her by. She no longer is blazing trails for women; she is burning them down.

She needs to go back to Chappaqua, sit in her rocking chair and remember that even SHE would have been a nobody if it weren’t for HER husband. She truly is the Queen of Deplorables who believes her own spin.

Stop insulting everyone else, Hillary, for your own incompetence.

The Failed Biden PR Machine Ramps Up Another Lie

The fact that former President Biden’s cancer diagnosis is now being revealed raises some questions which need to be answered. First, how was it that in his last medical examination, did Dr Kevin O’Connor decide to claim that Biden was held in "Excellent Health"?

 

Prostate Cancer, if a patient gets frequent PSA tests done, begins to be suspected early. It doesn’t just suddenly show up in an aggressive form. Medical experts said Monday that Biden likely had prostate cancer for years before it metastasized.

On Monday, Dr Ronny Jackson (R-Tx), President Trump's doctor during his first term, lashed out at Biden’s then-White House doctor, though not by name, and accused the physician of having failed to deliver “world class care” to Biden and engaging in a “cover up.”

The test was not mentioned on Biden’s February 2024 physical report, his last such exam while in office. And none of the dumb@$$ hot-shot reporters of the Lame Stream Media dared to publicly ask, knowing from their sources that he probably had it since he was elected.

“I think the likely scenario, knowing Kevin O’Connor pretty well, is that they had a discussion on what a PSA test is, and they decided not to do one because it would likely be elevated and cause a story, since a lot of older men have high PSAs that are false positives,” a former White House source said.

“A blood test has a paper trail. They probably just didn’t do the test. I think it would leak if he had a PSA test they tried to bury.”

Medical experts said Monday that Biden likely had prostate cancer for years before it metastasized.

“He did not develop it in the last 100, 200 days. He had it while he was president,” oncologist Dr Zeke Emanuel, an appointee to Biden’s COVID-19 advisory board.

“He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021. I don’t think there’s any disagreement on that.”

And apparently, with all the books coming out now regarding Biden’s cognitive decline, there is trepidation among his family and close associates that perhaps one or more of the books would reveal his long-time battle with cancer. So, it was finally decided to get ahead of their deception and claim he has an “aggressive” form of Prostate Cancer which suddenly metastasized into his bones.

Typical of the Biden family lying syndicate. If you recall, in 2022, Biden slipped and said he had cancer, in the present tense of the time, but the White House press office rushed to say he was referring to historical skin cancer. But the clip has gotten significant attention since the Sunday announcement.

Should the American public automatically believe that former President Biden did not know until now that he has a life-threatening aggressive metastatic to bone prostate cancer?

No. Especially since the Biden White House and medical team were hiding his cognitive decline and obscuring it in glowing physical reports throughout his term.

We’ve been given no reason to believe anything said about Biden’s health. So why would we start now? And to think he was ready to run for a second term.

Once again, the Biden PR machine is ramping up with this latest deception, but it will fail, since we have learned that Biden, and EVERYONE around him, only lie when they speak.

This time, we aren’t buying it.

Senator Bobble-Head Makes Himself the Fool - Again

Once again, Senator Chuck Schmuckster is trying, poorly, to make himself relevant, with a bizarre claim regarding the Mexican ship crash into the Brooklyn Bridge.

 

“We know there has been meddling by the Trump administration into USCG staffing, and we need to know how this might have impacted the events of last night, from a command, communication and local coordination level,” the embattled Dem said in a press release.

“There are indications that this service [Vehicle Traffic System] may not be fully or adequately functional in light of a hiring freeze,” he said, referring to what he described as the Coast Guard’s “FAA-like traffic control operation.”

He went on to blame President Trump, Elon Musk, DoGE, the Coast Guard and everyone else, EXCEPT the Mexican ship captain.

While it is sad that two people died and a dozen more were injured, Schumer failed to mention that the ship was going in the wrong direction. Right Chuckster, that was Elon's fault.

But there were no reports of any other ship being involved in any way in Saturday’s tragedy. Oops, Chuckie.

In a press release Sunday, the Coast Guard also said it responded to the scene of the deadly collision immediately upon being notified, in keeping with its designated mission.

Schumer is so desperate to regain some semblance of his former stature, but he has absolutely destroyed his reputation and his trustworthiness by making so many false claims. Especially as it related to his defense of Biden’s cognitive abilities.

He would have been better served had he decided to keep his idiotic statements to himself. Instead, like the empty barrel, bobble-head doll he strives to be, he once again has only succeeded to make himself look partisan, and stupid.

Putin's Last Best Chance to Save Face

In a Truth Social post, President Trump is essentially daring Vladimir Putin to ignore his request to come to the peace table and earn the enmity of every world leader by continuing to forestall any hope for peace in a war he started. He is far becoming an untrustworthy, lying pariah.

 

“I WILL BE SPEAKING, BY TELEPHONE, TO PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN OF RUSSIA ON MONDAY, AT 10:00 A.M. THE SUBJECTS OF THE CALL WILL BE, STOPPING THE ‘BLOODBATH’ THAT IS KILLING, ON AVERAGE, MORE THAN 5000 RUSSIAN AND UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS A WEEK,” Trump posted on his Truth Social Saturday.

“HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE A PRODUCTIVE DAY, A CEASEFIRE WILL TAKE PLACE, AND THIS VERY VIOLENT WAR, A WAR THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED, WILL END,” Trump said. “GOD BLESS US ALL!!!”

State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce announced that SecState Marco Rubio “welcomed the prisoner exchange agreement” secured during Thursday’s meeting and “emphasized President Trump’s call for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the violence.”

The recent agreement will set in motion a 1,000 to 1,000 prisoner-of-war exchange between the Ukrainian and Russian militaries.

Trump and Rubio have worked long and hard to get this cease-fire and peace deal done. Even Zelenskyy, with all of his theatrics earlier this year at the White House, seems to truly want an end to the war.

The question is, does Putin?

The President also said he is going to discuss trade with Putin, and later reach out to Zelenskyy, as well as NATO leaders.

NATO also wants this conflagration to end, if for no other reason, than to bring peace and stability back to Europe. It has been chaos across the European Union for several years, since it is starting to impact the Union’s treasure with the aid given to Ukraine and no end in sight.

If this doesn’t end soon, Putin  just might bluff himself right into severe sanctions. That would be disastrous to Russia’s teetering economy, which could end up collapsing.

This is probably the last, best hope President Trump is offering for Putin to save himself and his country. He is a fool not to take it. 

Trump knows it, Putin knows it and the world knows it, too.

Pope Leo Is Installed

On Sunday morning, May 18, a Mass for the beginning of the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV will take place in St Peter's Square at the Vatican. Although the Mass is no longer described as an "enthronement," it is full of rich symbolism.

 

And once again, many world leaders will gather in Rome to witness this grande affare, where history will be made, as the first American and Peruvian will be formally installed at the head of the Catholic Church, the leader of 1.2 Billion Catholics, the Bishop of Rome, the Vicar of Christ.

He has shown, thus far, he will move the Church more toward its central, core values. But he may keep some of his predecessor’s less strident liberal, social justice tendencies.

 

Francis was a Jesuit, Liberation Theology (a religious socialist zealot) was his mantra; Leo is an Augustinian, emphasizing the role of divine grace in salvation, the importance of the Bible as the highest authority, and the concept of original sin. We will see how it plays out.

Expected world leaders planning to attend Leo’s coronation include Vice President Vance, President Zelenskyy, Prime Ministers Carney and Meloni, Prince William, many of the Cardinals who elected him and 250,000 faithful.

It is truly a world event. The Pope's installation ceremony, while historically extravagant, has seen a shift towards simplicity in recent times. The ceremony will still involve traditional rituals and symbols, but the level of pomp and pageantry is less pronounced than in the past. The ceremony will feature a Mass, the presentation of the papal symbols (like the Fisherman's Ring and the pallium, an ecclesiastical vestment in the Catholic Church), and a procession through St. Peter's Square.

It will begin at 10 AM, local Rome time, 4 AM EDT, and will be televised world-wide. It is expected to last two hours.

Whether you are Catholic or not, it will be a history-making event. It is not something which happens every day or even every year. 

Considering his age, and assuming he is in reasonably good health, Leo will be Pope for many years. Twenty or more.

The Mets' Tough Road Ahead

Starting tonight, the Mets (28 and 16) begin the hardest stretch in their schedule. Over the next nine games, they will be on the road to face the Yankees (25 and 18), the Red Sox (22 and 23) and then, home to face the Dodgers (29 and 15).

 

Each series is three games. If they come out of it, winning two of three in each, it will be a a successful stretch.

Meanwhile, their division rivals, the Phillies, are 2.5 games behind at 25 and 18.

When the dust clears on May 25, we will know how real this team really is and if the current roster will be good enough to take them through the long hot nights and days of summer.

So far, they are playing like they belong, are working toward a playoff berth and have the mettle to win the World Series.

Pete Alonso, Juan Soto, and Francisco Lindor are leading the team in many offensive categories, and Brandon Nimmo has started heating up. The catching corps of Francisco Alvarez and Luis Torrens have thrown out better than 50% of the baserunners who try to steal.

The starting pitching has been spot-on and the relief pitching has done its job. Suddenly, the team is gelling like it did last year, cheering each other, no matter who happens to be the night’s hero.

So, keep playing like Champs and soon enough, the grueling part of the early season will be done.

Comey Has Dug Himself a Hole

Former FBI Director Jim Comey is either the dumbest person to ever wear a badge, or the most dirty and crooked. Maybe a little bit of both. Or rather, a lot.

 

On Thursday, it was reported that he amusingly posted an image on Instagram which showed seashells arranged to spell out “8647” with a caption which read “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.” Shortly thereafter, he took it down, but not before it was captured by many people.

When confronted about it, told it seemed to indicate that the message was meant to say “Assassinate Trump”, he tried to express surprise. He is presently under investigation by the Secret Service.

One Webster’s Dictionary definition of “eighty-six” says the term means “to get rid of.” In the restaurant and bar industry, the phrase is used to indicate to staff that a menu item has run out, or that a customer is banned.

And anyone who even disinterested watches crime dramas understands that “86” is the code to “get rid of someone or something". Or, if you are a fan of mob movies, that term means to drive eight miles and bury the “package”  in a hole six feet down.

Comey subsequently deleted the picture, saying he didn’t understand what the message meant in its entirety.

“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realize folks associate those numbers with violence,” Comey wrote on Instagram.

He really is one dumb @$$hole if he thinks his claim is even remotely believable.
