Then, he should take look at the congestion pricing fiasco that Krazy Kat pushed through, and along with new EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, put a halt to this pollution-generating money grab until ALL environmental impact studies are completed. And in compliance with all clean air violations.
And then, once that is completed, have the FHA complete an audit of all monies given to the MTA since 2015.
Surely, irregularities will be found which will force the MTA to admit there was fraud committed by the New York State MTA Board. Or at least some defalcation of records which was committed.
The Federal government has given $20Bn since 2020. Where did that go? And what about the five years before that? Are there no records for that? And, by the way, who WAS watching the cookie jar?
And what about the BILLIONS in tolls and fares collected? Someone needs to take ownership of the expenses.
And the way Krazy Kat pushed it through after the election, well, it borders on criminal. She paused the implementation LAST JUNE so Democrats would not be negatively impacted. The day after the 2024 election, she lifted the pause.
Secretary Duffy needs to be certain this plan is justified before allowing it to be restarted, in its present form.
