More Designations Made and More to Come

Since Election Day, President-Elect Donald Trump has made a flurry of appointments for his next Cabinet and Staff. Some have been expected, and some have been surprises. But none have come from the Swamp, which is DC.

I have shared his initial choices with you in New Kids On the Block and The Latest of the Greatest. Yesterday, he continued with this approach: some traditional picks and a few surprises.

Here are designees he announced yesterday:

Dan Scavino – Asst to President
James Blair – Asst to President
Tulsi Gabbard – Dir Natl Intel
Matt Gaetz – Attorney General
Taylor Budowich – Asst to President

Of these, while Tulsi was an expected choice, naming her to DNI was somewhat surprising. But the designation of Matt Gaetz as the AG was a bit of a shock, as he is such a controversial figure. And the biggest surprise was that Gaetz submitted his resignation from the Congress, effective immediately.

But then, we know President Trump is known to think outside the proverbial box.

Still to come are appointments to FBI, Secret Service, FEMA, DeptTreas, FDA, DeptEd, VA, HHS, IRS, DeptEnergy, and several other Cabinet and Administrative positions. Watch also for the name of the next Press Secretary.

My scorecard has eight people named, but not necessarily where I thought they would be.

How about you?
