The "Butter Pat" of Government Stupidity and Overreach

Here is something which sailed under the radar over the last couple of weeks. And it was "spread" over the news. But no one took a stab… or a pat at it.

Until now.

It was reported this week that 80,000 pounds of BUTTER, salted and unsalted, was recalled by Costco because its Kirkland brand did not include “Contains Milk” on the label.

Nothing is wrong with the butter itself. Instead, it was not properly labeled, as required by the FDA regulations.

The Internet seemed very concerned, confused and upset that so many people may not know that butter contains milk. But very few people will be returning the butter for mislabeling.

Central Florida's WESH 2 News provided the most recent report on this, which is linked for your review.

Ultimately, we need to trust our own common sense. And so do our companies.
