Congratulations on a Most Qualified Choice for Attorney General

On Tuesday night, the New York Post and other outlets reported that the United States Senate, by a vote of 54 to 46, confirmed Pam Bondi as the next Attorney General. Senator John Fetterman was the lone Democrat to vote with all of the Republicans to confirm this excellent choice.

 

Ahead of the vote, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) praised Bondi as an “experienced” and “tenacious” prosecutor with a “deep commitment to the victims of crime and their families.”

“In recent years, many Americans have lost faith in the Justice Department,” the Senate majority leader said. “They’ve seen federal prosecutors go after pro-life activists while attacks against churches have gone unprosecuted.”

Ms Bondi is a seasoned prosecutor who has promised not to weaponize the Justice Department, unlike her immediate, compromised predecessor. In addition, she was one of President Trump’s attorneys during his first impeachment.

She is truly qualified to run this Department. Previously, she served eight years as Florida’s first female Attorney General, so she is not a political hack, like her predecessor was.

The United States and its citizens are lucky to have Ms Bondi looking out for our interests. She is an excellent choice by President Trump.
