Finally, the firestorm is erupting across America as the people have awakened to the lie which was told in 2009 and 2010, and retold even to the Supreme Court by the Liar in Chief and all the jokers and jesters who work for him. Remembering President Nixon's sage warning, "it's not the deed, it's the lie" statement, apparently the clowns infesting the White House have chosen to "hunker down" and stand by this travesty.
The fools and knaves who wish to stand by this liar now, are placing blame on the PEOPLE, rather than on their "Dear Leader", who started this falsehood in the first place. And the man who claims the office of President, as if it's his birthright, had an opportunity over the weekend to resolve this issue, by stating these words: "I was wrong, I misspoke, I made a mistake, please forgive me."
Instead, he chose to take the lie he spoke at every turn since 2009 and actually say he didn't say it. His path now is to claim he said something else, which is not only misleading, but a worse lie than the one he spoke over and over for the last five years. This is the height of arrogance of the worst sort.
Even some in the Democrat Party, who staked their reputations on something which has now been revealed as false, can't believe the spin coming out of the White House. And quite honestly, spin is when you want to take something neutral and turn the thought into something positive in your favor. This is not spin, this is a compounding of one lie atop another.
Does the term "Watergate" strike anyone here?
According to the Constitution, Article 2, Section 4, the following is grounds for impeachment for anyone in the Executive Branch:
"The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
Richard Nixon lied repeatedly during the Watergate scandal and was finally run out of town by Members of Congress from both parties because he was shown to be undeserving of the highest office in the land. And, ultimately they were right to do do.
Finally, unlike Ron Zeigler who chose to take the low road along with his boss, Jay Carney has the opportunity to take the high road and prove he still has a shred of decency and honor left in him by resigning now, while he can show his colleagues he really finds all this nonsense unnerving and distasteful. An honorable man would not be found to be wrong if he stood up for his principles.
As for the Obama apologists who can't bring themselves to admit he lied to them as well, I have one question: How do you shave, or put on your makeup, and say the man you believe in and support today is still the honorable person you supported in 2008 and 2012, knowing what you know now? If you look deep into your soul, you have to admit you have been duped, and to continue to follow him shows yourself, that you have no self respect.
And to the Main Stream Media, do your jobs and tell/retell the story how this man lied to us all in violation of his Oath of Office. This man no longer deserves the honor and PRIVILEGE to serve as our President.
Impeach him now.
