The Issuance of Visas and Their Suspension

It was finally announced on Wednesday, that effective January 21, the US will suspend the issuance of visas from seventy-five countries.

This follows up with the November vow by  President Trump to “permanently pause” the issuance of visas from residents of “third-world countries” after an Afghan national murdered a National Guard soldier.

The countries affected include  Somalia, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan,  Nigeria and Cambodia, among others.

You can imagine the howl of protest to be raised by the left claiming that this action is “racist, xenophobic, authoritarian, disregard for democratic norms” and other anti-Trump slogans. All to fire up the base by appealing to their emotions, rather than to rational thought.

We heard ALL these claims before by the same crowd while they screamed to “Free Palestine” after Hamas attacked Israel and killed so many innocents on October 7, 2023.

Yet the same crowd is eerily silent now as Iranian civilians are protesting against the cruel, despotic IRGC and the Islamic Republic. Hypocrisy much?

So, yes. The US, as well as any other government, has the right to suspend, and further examine or revise its procedures to issue visas in any form before it allows entry into its country. It is common sense, especially if those countries’ motives are suspect.

The first order of business of any President and his Administration is to defend Americans, our Constitution and our way of life. Anything less would be criminal and foolhardy.

So, for those who wish to protest this action by the reasonable action by the Trump Administration, you may now sit down and shut up. Thank you.
