The First Step to Destroy Education In the City of New York

Here is some “good” news for parents who wish to have their children force-fed socialism at their local New York City elementary, middle and high schools.

Apparently, the left-leaning United Federation of Teachers, the most powerful teachers union In the United States, and certainly representing the City's teachers, have lost their minds and endorsed Democrat-Socialist candidate for Mayor, Zohran Mamdani.

The union's resolution recommending Mamdani’s endorsement applauded his pledge of “revamping mayoral control [of schools] to give more say to educators and parents.”

Mamdani’s education platformsupports an end to mayoral control” in favor of “co-governance.”

As a union, we have to protect public education, public employees, and public service from attacks from Washington, DC,” UFT president Mike Mulgrew said following the vote.

We have to make New York City safer and more affordable for working- and middle-class families,” he went on. “We have to make the jobs of educators and nurses more attractive with better pay and benefits, and retain those already doing the work. We need a mayor who understands the task before us and who will help us get it done.

Funny thing about Mamdani and Mulgrew’s approach to public education; it sounds a lot like Saul Alinsky's theory, only with a softer sense of verbiage.

You remember Alinsky, yes? From your college days, who wrote Rules For Radicals? You know, in his book Rules for Radicals, he teaches us there are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a socialist state.

This is the short form of what he says about education.Take control of what people read and listen to. Take control of what children learn in school.”

And this is the long form of this philosophical thought:

He viewed education as “a tool for empowerment and social change, rather than a means of passive assimilation." He believed "education should equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to critically analyze their circumstances and actively participate in transforming their communities." Alinsky's approach emphasized "practical skills, public engagement, and hope for positive change, aligning with his broader philosophy of empowering marginalized communities.”

Seems eerily like the City is definitely going to be destroyed for good if Mamdani is elected Mayor, because he WILL follow Alinsky and Marx’s precepts related to education. With the unbridled support of the UFT.

Unless, of course, he and the UFT are turned away by the people with reasoned judgement.
