JD Vance gave an inspiring speech yesterday. He talked about his grandmother who raised him, his Mom, who is ten years sober from the scourge of drug addiction, his wife, who he met and fell in love with in Grad School and the people he represents from Middletown and the entire state of Ohio.
But he talked about his mid-west values, too. He spoke of the friendly rivalry of Ohio State and the University of Michigan, his family burial plot in Eastern Kentucky, his life growing up in his grandparents’ home and his time he served in the Marines in Iraq as a corporal.
He loves his wife, Usha and her immigrant Indian parents. He considers himself a Christian and respects his wife's Hindu beliefs and practices, including her dietary beliefs. He decided to participate in vegetarianism after he married Usha.
When Donald Trump ran in 2016; he was critical and extremely skeptical of what Donald Trump was going to do. Over time, he became a convert to Trump's vision. He pointed out in his acceptance speech that he wants strong borders, a strong economy, less inflation and American-produced energy.
Senator Vance has been in the Senate only since 2022, but has proven himself to be the strongest candidate for this position among all this candidates the media has speculated that Trump would choose.
In actuality, Donald Trump, a baby boomer, has chosen for his Vice President, a millennial, to pass the torch to. I believe that this is the wisest choice he could have made. In effect, he realized that JD Vance would be the individual to carry forward his America Frst agenda.
For all these reasons and more, I look forward to voting for the Trump-Vance ticket in November.
