Zelenskyy Is About to Shut the Window

Last week, I wrote a commentary titled “Ukraine's Small Window To Get Some Better Than None”, where I spelled out that President Zelenskyy needed to decide whether he wanted to be part of the negotiating process or if he were going to remain intransigent by holding onto his stubbornness while Ukraine collapsed.

 

I offered the following as I ended that commentary, “This may be a limited time offer for President Zelenskyy to swallow his ego and meet with Presidents Trump and Putin as they will agree with the formula to end this debacle. With or without him.

“If Zelenskyy wants what is best for Ukraine, he needs to get off the stick before Ukraine is left out in the cold.”

As we prepared this week for Zelenskyy’s arrival, most Americans felt reason had prevailed. We looked forward to him to sign the framework which would begin the process to end that war with Russia and begin a new and fruitful relationship with the US and Ukraine.

Instead, a demanding and arrogant Zelenskyy showed up, insulted the American people who, heretofore, had supported his quest, telling us how we should feel, and ultimately, was thrown out of the White House.

“What kind of diplomacy, JD, you are [sic] speaking about?” Zelensky asked in a critical tone of voice after a relatively cordial first 45 minutes conversation in front of reporters, responding to the VP’s criticism of former President Joe Biden’s management of the war and statement that “the path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy.”

Vance responded that it was “disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media”, setting off a shouting match among the men, which a US official involved in planning the visit said was entirely unplanned.

Zelenskyy apparently thought President Trump would fall over like Biden did, but instead, looked startled when Trump finally interjected himself.

“We’re trying to solve a problem. Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel…You are in no position to dictate what we’re going to feel. We’re going to feel very good. We’re going to feel very good and very strong. You’re right now not in a very good position. You’ve allowed yourself to be in a very bad position…

“You’re gambling with World War III. And what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country that’s backed you far more than a lot of people say they should.”

As Zelenskyy tried to interrupt Trump, he was shot down.

“We gave you, through this stupid president [Joe Biden], $350 billion. We gave you military equipment… If you didn’t have our military equipment, if you didn’t have our military equipment, this war would have been over in two weeks.”

Finally, President Trump summed it up. “You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out, and if we’re out, you’ll fight it out. I don’t think it’s going to be pretty,” Trump concluded before asking reporters to leave, saying “this is going to be great television, I will say that.”

And with that, President Zelenskyy learned that his nonsense was not going to be tolerated by President Trump.

 Zelenskyy is now trying to enlist anti-Trump Democrats to side with him. And of course, some Democrats are aligning against Trump and Vance.

"Shifty" Adam Schiff, the California senator, said: “A hero and a coward are meeting in the Oval Office today. And when the meeting is over, the hero will return home to Ukraine.”

He was joined by several others, Chris Coons, Dick Durbin and Chris Murphy, who all voiced similar negative anti-Trump statements.

But then, it only proves their hatred for Donald Trump is so deep, they don’t see the thief in the brown sweater trying to rip off the American taxpayers they are supposed to represent.

Soon enough, Zelenskyy will be back begging for forgiveness, contrite, and will sign the agreement. Because if he doesn’t, Putin will take his country to the cleaners.

And history will show that his arrogance lost him his country.

Nine Months Since Butler and Still No Answers

It never made sense that a twenty-year-old ne'er-do-well had the resources and opportunity to attempt the assassination of a highly protected Presidential candidate. Especially since he had already been President.

 

It was reported in the New York Post that FBI has obstructed efforts to solve the mystery of why Thomas Matthew Crooks, who left no manifesto, did what he did. It has left local law enforcement as well as Crooks’ former friends, classmates and teachers frustrated.

As well it should. It has also left many others equally frustrated that almost nine months after the attempted assassination on now-President Donald Trump, we are no closer to learning the truth for the how and why as we were on July 14, the day after the attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“By the way, why do we know nothing about that guy in Butler?” Elon Musk yelled out to the audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference last week, before warning that FBI Director “Kash [Patel] is going to get to the bottom of it.”

Elon is right. Kash Patel and Dan Bongino need to scour the FBI files to determine why a cover up exists and who the person(s) is in developing and maintaining the cover up. It is alarming that the perpetrator(s) have been so successful in keeping this crime subverted.

And when it is finally uncovered, those responsible should be prosecuted as terrorists, as the leaders of the Deep State are, against our country and given life sentences with no chance for parole. Maybe in Gitmo.

A veteran private investigator from Erie, Pennsylvania, who was hired shortly after the fateful July 13 event at the Butler rally to look into Crooks by a private client, said he believes a “criminal network” was operating with him at the time of the assassination attempt, is still in existence and still wants to kill President Trump.

It makes so much sense since Crooks, while being an allegedly smart kid, certainly did not have the resources on his own to finance and execute a scheme, without assistance from others.

FBI officials who served under President Joe Biden accessed Crooks’ phone, computer and his encrypted messaging apps in Belgium, New Zealand and Germany, according to current national security adviser Mike Waltz, a former GOP congressman. However, they have been very tight-lipped about what they found.

They must be frightened to talk because it seem they know if they do, someone very high up has the power to bring harm to them and their loved ones. So, they are compromised.

Soon, we can hope, the wall will crack and the truth will finally be revealed. But first an overhaul of the FBI needs to be completed.

Let’s hope Kash and Dan can get it done before another attempt is successfully accomplished.

Krazy Kat Is Clawing for a Kat-Fight

Once again, Governor Krazy Kat Hochul is showing the world how inept a governor she really is. And she is using the no-rating MSLSD cable no-news channel to make her case.

 

It was reported today that the Top Political Dumb@$$ is demanding that President Trump cough up $15Bn to New York State to offset the totally unpopular (except for her and the MTA Crook Leiber) congestion pricing rip-off to pay for the missing shortfall in the MTA budget to pay for upgrades to the subway system.

The Dumbocrat said she gave Trump an “ultimatum” during their White House sit-down late last week, telling him he would need to dip into US coffers to offset the billions the state is estimated to lose if the congestion toll is nixed. Yeah, Trump is shaking in his shoes now.

“You’re gonna have to give me $15 billion to invest in a subway system, then,” Hochul told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” of her closed-door meeting with the president on Wednesday. Not too smart, Krazy Kat, to reveal a confidential conversation. But then, she decided she would go full-out b!+ch.

“If I lose $15 billion that we’re able to leverage with the money brought in by congestion pricing, then I won’t be able to fix the stations and the repairs and the new buses I need.”

Uhm. That’s on YOU, Krazy Kat. You will lose this argument, and your re-election big-time if you think that tactic is going to work with the man you need to help revitalize Penn Station, the Garden and other refurbishments on your fanciful wish list.

But then, you are just out to prove you are just a stupid DUMB@$$. Aren’t you. And going on "Morning Joe" with your gutter-brain attitude is just proving the point.

Funny thing about having a bit of political savvy. You can get more when you drip and dip your words with honey than spit them out with vinegar. Apparently, you must have missed that class as you kissed your way up the political ladder.

So, keep on doing what you are doing because you do it so well. Keep on “Kat-fighting” with the one person who could help you. After all, you have one follower on your side of your stupidity in the Maine Governor, Janet Mills, who is following your lead on how to destroy the state you are elected to govern.

Then, on January 1, 2027, Governor Ritchie Torres will try to clean up the political mess you have made by dissing President Trump today.

First Step To a Lasting Peace In Europe

In less than a week, President Zelenskyy went from claiming that nothing would get him to the negotiating table to making a trip to DC to meet with President Trump and sign the first phase of an agreement to end the war. What changed?

 

Perhaps it was the realization that his stubbornness, which Dementia Joe Biden found so endearing, was not working on the current American President. He was finally up against the author of The Art of the Deal, not some bumbling old fool.

So, on Friday, President Zelenskyy will make an appearance at the White House in his customary brown sweater to readily agree to the terms which will be presented. They will include a ceasefire, American access to rare earth minerals and other materials, in exchange for an American non-military presence, European-provided peacekeeping troops and dropping his insistence in Ukraine’s membership in NATO.

Russia has indicated, instead, that Ukraine joining the European Union, would be acceptable, since it is an economic, not a military, membership.

And his ego will be massaged because he met with Trump first before Putin did. Doesn’t take much, does it?

“We’re going to do the best we can to make the best deal we can for both sides, but for Ukraine, we’re going to try very hard to make a good deal so that they can get as much back as possible. We want to get as much back as possible,” Trump told reporters when asked about any land recovery.

Russia currently occupies Crimea and large swaths of territory in Eastern Ukraine, amounting to approximately 20% of the country.

The New York Post Wednesday evening edition reported that the current deal, according to a readout provided to the Financial Times, doesn’t have any direct security guarantees, but establishes a mineral fund between the US and Ukraine.

The fund, Trump said, will serve as “sort of automatic security” for Ukraine, since American workers will be present on Ukrainian territory once the war concludes to extract the minerals. And since the peacekeepers will be present, Russia will be precluded from attacking Ukraine with Americans on-site, without risking an American response.

Within a short time, Trump, Putin and Zelenskyy will meet in Saudi Arabia to complete the peace treaty. Hopefully, before they do, the ceasefire will have successfully taken hold and be in place. And it all starts on Friday.

Promises Made, Promises Kept.

Turmoil Is Bubbling and Flooding All Over K Street NW

The storied, “Bible of the Beltway”, Washington Post is making headlines again. This time, the billionaire owner, Jeff Bezos, is looking for a new editorial page editor.

 

He has been, since the summer, moving the paper's editorial opinion from its long history of anti-Republican positions

 to one which engaged a more moderate, center-leaning viewpoint, which started by NOT endorsing Kamala Harris in the last election. That action accounted for mass resignations in protest for squashing that endorsement.

His latest move, as reported in the New York Post,  is to change the publication’s opinion pages to better reflect American values like “personal liberties" and “free markets”, leading the section’s editor, David Shipley, to quit. He said he offered Opinion Editor David Shipley the opportunity to “lead this new chapter.”

“I suggested to him that if the answer wasn’t ‘hell yes,’ then it had to be ‘no,’” Bezos wrote in a lengthy post on X about the “significant change” in direction.

“After careful consideration, David decided to step away. This is a significant shift, it won’t be easy, and it will require 100% commitment. I respect his decision.”

David Shipley is a one-time speechwriter for President Bill Clinton and served in the Clinton administration as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Presidential Speechwriter. He also had stints at the New York Times, the New Republic and Bloomberg.

Since Bezos has found his new "direction", the paper has lost over 250,000 digital subscribers. In addition, last month, more than 400 staffers penned a letter to Bezos seeking clarity on the newspaper’s direction, expressing concerns over recent leadership changes and editorial decisions.

Aahhh, yes. Turmoil is bubbling all over in the newsroom. And is running out the door, flooding K Street NW, faster than a tsunami on the eastern shores of the Chesapeake.

But Jeff is the Boss and what the Boss wants, he usually gets. No one is being forced to stay.

He obviously believes this when he says, “I’m confident that free markets and personal liberties are right for America. I also believe these viewpoints are underserved in the current market of ideas and news opinion. I’m excited for us together to fill that void.”

And anyone who stays, will be signing on to this new outlook.

What "The Executive Power shall be Vested in a President" Means

To all of the people who think President Trump, or any President, does not have the power to clean up the bloated Executive Branch, I refer you to the Sacred Document, the Constitution of the United States, which says the following in the very first sentence of the very first paragraph of Article II:

 

Clause 1: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.

There is no ambiguity or doubt who holds the power of the office. Not the Congress, not any judge, not the media, not even the ACLU. Nor is there a ruling or governing body.

Only one person holds the power of the office. It isn’t a partnership of any sort.

And since the Congress dumped much of what it could control onto the Presidency, those Members have nothing to say now. They cannot usurp the office because they don’t like an appointee of the President.

Since this President campaigned on cleaning up the bureaucracy, which is housed in the Executive Branch, with the man he campaigned with and said he would appoint to do that task, and was overwhelmingly elected by THE PEOPLE to keep that promise, there were no secrets kept from employees or anyone else. Instead, he has promised to keep his word.

Every judge who blocks President Trump from fulfilling his Constitutional duty to fix what is broken, is now acting Unconstitutionally. And, therefore, is subject to impeachment and removal, because he or she is preventing the President from fulfilling HIS duty.

Which is spelled out in the first sentence of Article II.

As for those employees who think they have a right to hold onto their position indefinitely, without consequence, well, your employer (the President) is now asking you to document what work you have completed. This is called a self-evaluation in the private sector.

And if you don’t want to evaluate your own job performance, you are always free to leave. No one is forcing you to stay.

Soon enough, the bloat which exists in the government will be exorcised and those who remain will be required to do an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.

We elected a businessman to streamline the government to run like a business. He is well on the way to do this. And 77MM voters will hold him to this.

When I was in business and asked why something was done which did not make sense to me, when someone said, “Because we always did it this way”, I would respond by saying “Why” and then look for another, a better, way to complete the task. That is what President Trump, and DOGE, is doing now.

It is time we all understand the meaning of Article II, Clause I, because President Trump certainly does.

Ukraine's Small Window To Get Some Better Than None

Since 2014, when Russia invaded Ukraine for the first time, most Americans were opposed to the blatant land grab by Russia as it annexed Ukraine.

 

Then in 2022, we were equally appalled by the Russian army attacking that same sovereign nation again. For no apparent reason. Many of us supported Ukraine as it battled to save its independence.

After three years of supporting the Ukrainian fight with billions of dollars in American weapons and treasure, it is time for Ukraine and Russia to bring the war to a close. Too much money and treasure has been spent by the US, with no hope for repayment, and ɓoth warring parties have lost more soldiers in three years than the US lost in Vietnam in twenty.

Now, the Trump Administration, after Zelenskyy originally offered, is insisting that any future investment by the US is offset by an equal value of rare earth goods, which many believe is plentiful deep inside Ukraine’s territory. This is possibly one reason for Russia’s ongoing incursion.

Essentially, America’s continued investment in Ukraine’s defense would now be secured, rather than the indiscriminate giveaway by the Biden regime. And both parties in the Congress.

By now, most of the world understands that President Trump is a tough negotiator, generally getting most of what he wants. President Putin understands this, and has readily agreed to work with Trump to end this war. President Zelenskyy needs to open his eyes and back away from his intransigeance before he gets nothing.

It was reported by National Review, Politico and other sources, that while Putin would not relent on Ukraine joining NATO, it seems he would not object to Ukraine joining the European Union. That is a HUGE concession which had never been revealed or discussed.

This may be a limited time offer for President Zelenskyy to swallow his ego and meet with Presidents Trump and Putin as they will agree with the formula to end this debacle. With or without him.

The Time For Hamas Has Reached the Red Zone

After the display of barbarism by Hamas on Thursday, they have proven they have no value for human life. Alive OR dead.

 

It was a mockery when they paraded through the streets the coffins containing Ariel and Kfir Bibas’ remains, along with two adults. Then, in an act of total defiance, they did not return the body of their mother, Shiri Bibas, as promised, so they could be buried together.

How cruel! How inhuman! How savage!!

This was not only an anti-Semitic act on the part of Hamas. They have PROVEN they have no souls. Unless they have sold theirs to the Prince of Evil and Darkness.

Hamas has shown the world their lack of character. They rival the Nazis, the Soviets and the Khmer Rouge how low their depravity is. In fact, they are lower.

Hamas is set to free six living hostages on Saturday in the next exchange of the cease-fire deal. But they have proven they are untrustworthy.

If you are still a supporter of Hamas after this display of inhumanity, you are no better than they are. You, too, have no moral compass.

The world wants peace in the Middle East. But Hamas is doing everything possible to prevent it from becoming a possibility. Soon enough, Israel’s patience will be done.

The hour-glass will soon run out of its sand and no one will be there to be willing to give a reprieve. Then, the Gates of Hell will descend upon Hamas like we have never seen before.

And what is left of Hamas will regret what it begat.

Big Shoulders to Carry Heavy Weight

The latest nominee to be confirmed is Kash Patel as FBI Director. The final vote was 51 to 49, with two Republicans voting with all the Democrats.

 

Mr Patel faced a grueling and hostile hearing, and it was carried over to the final vote. Previously, three other now-confirmed nominees had squeaked by, with SecDef Hegseth requiring the vote of Vice President Vance to break the tie.

Director Patel is now the fourth FBI Director since September 4, 2001, when Robert Mueller was sworn in. He was followed by James Comey and Chrisopher Wray.

The term is considered to be for ten years since 1976, but only Mueller has served his full term. And only J. Edgar Hoover served longer. In addition, he was extended by two years by a special Congressional vote. 

The FBI Director reports to the Attorney General.

In addition, the last two directors were removed prior to completing their full terms due to questionable activities.

Mr Patel is the youngest Director and the first Indian-American to lead the FBI. Patel worked for 12 years as a public defender in Florida before serving in the Justice Department as a trial attorney between 2014 and 2017.

At his hearing, Patel pledged to reform rather than unravel the bureau, after some close Trump allies called for the FBI to be disbanded after the August 2022 raid on Trump’s Florida residence.

He truly has his work cut out for him to clean up the mismanagement and politicization which has gone on for years.

Congratulations Director Patel!

Elon Musk Is NOT the Problem

So many people have complained about DOGE and Elon Musk since the Trump Administration was sworn into office. It is time to make some points clearer so that we ALL understand this process.

 

Presidents are permitted to appoint Special Government Employees. They are non-Cabinet advisors, not subject to Senate Confirmation, who work at the pleasure of the President. Many Presidents have done this, probably since the beginning of our Constitutional Republic.

Some key positions have been: The Civilian Conservation Corps, the President’s Council on Physical Fitness, the EPA, EEOC, Homeland Security, JOBS Council, Council of Environmental Quality and Council on Climate Change.

NONE of the heads of these commissions were elected, and several, but not all, have evolved into Cabinet-level positions, which require Senate confirmation. Because their budgets have exploded.

President Trump made it very clear when he was running that Elon Musk would head the Department of Government Efficiency, for no salary or other compensation; he gave an outline of the TEMPORARY department’s scope of responsibility. And he gave an end date.

Knowing all this, he was elected President by 51% of the voters.

Keep in mind that every other head of any department listed above took a substantial salary for the time they served.

So, while Elon Musk was not elected, the person who he reports to was. And the House of Representatives created a subcommittee for oversight to DOGE.

It is terrible that people are losing their jobs because of the inefficiencies DOGE has discovered. But the blame is not the fault of Elon Musk. Instead, it is the fault of the Congress, both parties, which permitted these inefficiencies to fester for so long.

And ultimately, where did all the money go? Who received it? With the revelation of all the money being found, for example, $4.7TT unaccounted for expenses on the Treasury balance sheet and 1.1MM or more recipients of Social Security over the age of 100, we should all be upset about this, as well.

As for politicians who protest too much, perhaps an audit of their finances are in order. After all, how did they become multi-millionaires on $174,000 a year? There are many who claimed poverty when elected, and all are now worth millions.

As former President Harry Truman once said, “Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I'll show you a crook.”

Apparently, Schumer Thinks He Is Above the Law

Funny thing about Senator Schmuck Schumer. He is determined to be relevant, and will do or say anything to accomplish that end.

 

Well, maybe he has finally accomplished it. But this was not how he wanted to be noticed. Was it?

It was reported in Raw Story, a liberal online publication, that the interim DC US Attorney, Ed Martin, sent an email titled 'Operation Whirlwind' in which he said he's “personally launched an investigation into Sen. Chuck Schumer.”

Why? Because the Schmuckster has, according to the email Martin sent to colleagues, described “despicable” threats being received by DOGE workers and other Trump administration officials, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

This is not the first time Schumer has threatened other government officials to whom he is opposed. He has previously threatened Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, as well.

Schumer was always a “bagman” for the Democrats; that is why he is now the Democrat Senate Leader. He is very capable, like a Mafia bagman or collector, to raise untold sums of cash using, some would say, “questionable” or “forceful” methods.

But he has been good at it. And no one questioned it.

Until now.

Martin wrote in his email, "I reached out to Schumer to investigate his threats," but wrote that he had not yet received a response.

"Let me be clear," Martin continued. "We will protect each other. We will protect DOGE. We will protect our judges and cops. And we will go after the people who threaten federal workers and who use their threats to move others against us. We will hold all of them accountable because, as former President Joe Biden said in 2024, 'No one is above the law.'"

Except, apparently, the Schmuckster.

The Hyperbolic Schmuckster Becomes More Irrelevant

So, did we miss something big over the weekend? Did the United States annex Canada?

 

After all, apparently that dumb@$$, Senator Schmuck Schumer is blaming President Donald Trump for the unfortunate plane crash which happened in Toronto. Which is in Canada.

The Schmuckster had fired off a slew of tweets referencing the FAA cuts as he reacted to news of the Delta plane bursting into flames and tipping over as it touched down at Toronto-Pearson International Airport on Monday.

He must think Canada is now our fifty-first state, since it was the FAA's fault for the crash. No Chuckie, it was the CANADIAN Air Traffic Controllers who were in charge of the flight once it left American airspace.

In fact, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was quick to point that out to the uninformed political muckraker, who made himself look like a buffoon.

“It’s incredibly irresponsible for Chuck Schumer to say such a thing when the investigation is still underway,” the press sec told Fox News’ “America Reports” late Tuesday.

“This crash unfortunately took place in Canadian airspace with Canadian air traffic controllers overseeing it,” she said. “No air traffic controllers have been let go” by the Trump administration.

“In fact, Secretary [Sean] Duffy has put great emphasis on hiring the best and the brightest air traffic controllers who want to be part of the FAA,” Leavitt continued.

So maybe, next time the Schmuckster wants to be a $#!+stirrer, he better check his facts. He has become the live-action, modern-day “Peter” as he cries “Wolf” each time he opens his mouth or attempts to use his brain.

He is sinking faster to dramatic hyperbole as he becomes more irrelevant.

Anti-Semitism Is Living Large In New York

Once again, anti-Semitic violence reared its ugly head last night in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn, NY. Pro-Hamas, anti-Israel demonstrations flared up because Pal-Awda gathered to protest what it claimed was Palestinian land being sold off to the Jewish state, the group shared in a post on X Monday afternoon.

 

Right. As if the Orthodox Jews in Brooklyn had any control or say in what goes on in the Middle East.

As reported in the overnight editions of the New York Post, the protest organizer yelled, “There is only one solution, intifada revolution” through a megaphone as others shouted, “Settlers, settlers, go back home, Palestine is ours alone,” the outlet reported.

While local leaders called for police intervention and for cooler heads to prevail, Governor Krazy Kat was off on a mission with the Unrev Al Sharpton to figure a way to bring down Mayor Eric Adams. All because the Trump DOJ decided not to pursue the politically motivated charges the Biden regime brought against Adams because he wasn’t “a Good Democrat.”

Also, Mayor Adams decided he would look out for ALL the citizens of the City and permit ICE to round up illegal criminals who terrorize the people, and not enforce Unconstitutional “Sanctuary” laws.

Her priorities are all fecked up. Instead, her silence was deafening as the violence continued in the City.

Bronx Congressman  Ritchie Torres (D-NY) blasted protesters for targeting Boro Park “simply because it is Jewish”, and vulnerable.

“It should come as a shock to no one that the pro-Hamas mob targeting Jews and promising to ‘flood’ Boro Park has descended into violence,” he posted to  Tuesday night.

“Violence is not a bug but a feature of the so-called ‘Free Palestine’ movement, which has no desire to free Palestinians from Hamas.”

Where is the outrage against Hamas for gloating that they are releasing the bodies of a two-year-old and five-year-old. Along with their mother, who they butchered after the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack?

No, Krazy Kat and the Unrev Al have no time to address this barbaric and ghoulish statement. Too busy dealing with how they can stick it to Adams and Trump.

While innocents in Brooklyn are continuing to be threatened and beaten because they are Jewish.

Why I Support Donald Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE

This morning, a long-time banker friend of mine asked me this:

 

“Should we start to worry about all these people who are resigning or being let go from agencies like SSA etc. How about all the people being let go because their term action letters say due to poor performance? I'm starting to think DJT is making too many changes too fast!!!”

I thought about these valid points, considered them after I read that DOGE found a $4.7TT unaccounted for expenditure on Treasury documents, and responded thusly:

“The government is bloated with dead wood. That's why we are $36TT in debt. People working from home, waiting for 30 min on hold, and so much more inefficiency. If we ran a bank that way, we would not be in business too long. Too many people making big money with better benefits than we had. Great pensions, guaranteed jobs, can't be fired. The obvious frontline job where mediocrity is tolerated is the Post Office. And you can't go to the SSA office anymore without an appointment. That is why he is cleaning house.”

But presently, while I feel bad that so many people have lost their jobs, the people need to be blaming the Democrats AND Republicans in the Congress for their misfortune. Not Elon Musk or Donald Trump.

For too long, waste, fraud and abuse were tolerated with only a few crying out in the wilderness, while the status quo was sanctioned by those in control. 

Members of Congress of both parties, their staffs and families enjoyed their Obamacare exemptions, paid for by American taxpayers, while the rest of us struggled with rising medical costs.

Now, especially for those on Medicare, we are denying ourselves of necessary treatment because the premiums are exorbitant, the co-pays are prohibitive, and too many needed drugs are not in an affordable tier. Like Insulin, a drug given to society for free by the men who discovered it.

Until now, our country was sending money to other countries as “foreign aid” to support every left-wing program, paid for illegals’ housing and food in luxury hotels in New York City and other big blue cities, while homeless veterans starved, and so many other neglectful abuses of ordinary Americans. And Chuck and Maxine and Dickie and AOC are complaining?

They should all be impeached and imprisoned for failing in their fiduciary responsibilities for not safeguarding our tax dollars at a minimum, and for dishonoring their Oaths to work for US, not special interests.

And protesting the work of the world’s richest man? He isn’t doing this to steal our money. Like Trump, Democrats loved him before they hated him. Because he points out all their dishonest behavior.

So, what WAS $4.7TT used for? I think every Member of Congress should be audited and be required to explain how they are all multi-millionaires on less than $200K in annual income.

I applaud President Trump on keeping his “shock and awe” promise to root out our bloated government, and I encourage Elon Musk to forge ahead with his continued discoveries of waste, fraud and abuse of our hard-earned money.

And I demand that every Democrat and Republican who is presently protesting against DOGE, STFU, sit down and consider lawyering up because most of you are the cause of our financial mess. Your corruption is unconscionable and will not longer be tolerated.

As I said, if I were running a bank like this, I would be out on my @$$ and in jail for fiduciary malfeasance.

A Violation of Her Oath to Support the Constitution?

Leftist darling Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s office hosted a webinar last Wednesday explaining the tactics Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) authorities have been using in New York to arrest illegal immigrants in an apparent effort to help them avoid deportation. While she did not appear during the seminar, she boasted unremittingly her endorsement of the tactics discussed on her social media pages, condoning her support of opposition against ICE.

 

She has proven herself to be either a traitor to her Oath to support the Constitution or a buffoon.

Border czar Tom Homan has doubled down on his scrutiny of AOC’s attempts to help illegal immigrants evade authorities, telling Fox News and the New York Post again that he’s asked the Department of Justice to look into whether her actions are illegal. Ooops! She has opened herself up to charges of what amount to obstruction of justice.

“What I find disturbing is that any member of Congress wants to educate people on how they evade law enforcement,” Homan told the outlet Monday, referring to a webinar the “Squad” member’s office hosted last week titled “Know Your Rights in case of ICE.”

“You can claim you’re educating those constitutional rights, okay, you can keep that claim, okay. But what she is in fact doing is telling people ‘Don’t open the door, hide in your home, don’t talk to ICE,’” he said.

“We are talking about people who are in the country illegally, committed a crime. They are public safety threats, and they’ve been ordered removed by a federal judge,” he added. “It’s like AOC and others don’t want ICE to enforce the law that they enacted.”

She is actually working against her hard-working, legal constituents who voted for her, in order to protect criminals who violated the rights of her constituents. It is a puzzlement how she keeps getting re-elected.

Homan was asked if he would pursue an arrest warrant against AOC, who has baited him in Congressional hearings, for promoting illegal activities. He said he would leave it to the DOJ to decide.

“I sent an email today to the deputy attorney general. At what level is that impediment? Is that impediment?” Homan told Fox host Laura Ingraham. “Maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now.”

And of course, AOC mocked him on X, posting, “MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw,” she wrote.

Maybe she won’t be laughing as she is hauled before a judge to explain her unconstitutional behavior or when the Congress expels her for betraying her Oath to support the Constitution.

A Blustering Idiot Has a Death Wish

Hezbollah's leader, Secretary-General Naim Qassem, has a death wish, apparently. It was reported in the media that he has threatened Israel and Bibi Netanyahu to get out of Lebanon. OR ELSE.

 

His threat, issued yesterday, says that if Israel does not withdraw its forces from Lebanon by today, “we will know how to deal with it. Israel must fully withdraw on February 18, it has no excuse,” the Hezbollah chief said in a televised address cited by France 24.

“It is the responsibility of the Lebanese state to take a firm stance and force Israel to withdraw,” he added. If Israeli forces remain in Southern Lebanon, he continued, “Everyone understands how [Hezbollah] will deal with the occupation.”

He does not seem to remember that Israel wiped the dirt road with Hezbollah cowards last year. With pagers. He, obviously, is looking to see the rest of his forces destroyed.

The Israeli Air Force on Sunday evening carried out strikes on several Hezbollah sites in Lebanon housing rocket launchers and weapons, the IDF said.

How is that for a swift response?

Meanwhile, President Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this weekend to “do whatever you want” after he vowed to “open the gates of hell” against Hamas if the Palestinian terror group doesn’t release all remaining hostages.

Looks like The Sword of Damocles has been tossed down as a message of warning or foreboding by both the American and Israeli leaders to Middle Eastern terrorists who think the bullying of Israel will be continued unabated. Donald Trump is not going to pussyfoot with Israel’s security like Joe Biden did.

And Israel, as well as, other American allies and partners in the Middle East have recognized the difference in American leadership and resolve.

So, maybe, Qassem needs to look around and realize no one, not even his biggest ally, Iran, is ready to defend his bluster. He is nothing but a lone mongrel baying in the silence, with no one to come to his aid.

He better take a seat and stay quiet before a cruise missile suddenly hits HIS house without warning.

The Responsibility of a Free Media to Exercise Free Speech

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

 

Having the the Freedom of Speech is a God-Given right, guaranteed by the Constitution. And so is the Freedom of the Press.

It does not allow someone to scream “FIRE” in a crowded theater. Nor does it permit a journalist to get on TV and make patently false, unsubstantiated statements, knowing that his or her bully pulpit is a powerful medium from which people expect to hear the truth.

But week after week, liberal journalists do exactly that.

Most recently, Margaret Brennan of CBS News made a blatant falsehood, and expected to get it by Marco Rubio unchallenged. She claimed that free speech was “weaponized” in Germany to carry out the Holocaust, as she claimed Vice President JD  Vance's speech at the Munich Security Conference, where he criticized European leaders for censorship and said “the threat from within,” rather than Russia or China, posed the greatest danger to the security of the West.

She assumed that her statement would just get by without comment. But she underestimated Secretary Rubio.

“Why would our allies or anybody be irritated by free speech and by someone giving their opinion? We are, after all, democracies,” Rubio replied. “And so, I think if anyone’s angry about his words, they don’t have to agree with him, but to be angry about it, I think actually makes his point."

Brennan then offered a historically dubious and weak response.

“Well, he was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide, and he met with the head of a political party that has far-right views and some historic ties to extreme groups,” she said. “The context of that was changing the tone of it. And you know that.”

Rubio was quick to criticize her flawed logic. “No, I have, I have to disagree with you. Free speech was not used to conduct a genocide. The genocide was conducted by an authoritarian Nazi regime that happened to also be genocidal because they hated Jews and they hated minorities and they hated those that they, they had a list of people they hated, but primarily the Jews.”

Perhaps the media in general, and CBS in particular, need to go back to journalism school and learn the difference between real facts and the reporter’s interpretation of those same facts to make a statement as if that were the truth.

It is not a CBS issue; recently, ABC settled a lawsuit with Donald Trump because its “ace interviewer”, George Stephanopoulos decided to accuse the now-President of a crime of which he knew Trump was found not guilty. And it paid the price. And soon, the 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris will be settled for a hefty sum, too.

The lesson that the legacy media needs to learn is that it has become untrustworthy to deliver fair and truthful news to the population at large. We recognize that we all have opinions and can sometimes seep into what is being said. But presently, there is no attempt to PREVENT this.

The pendulum is swinging in an alternative direction, where Americans will get the news from an unbiased source. Until the legacy media learns this, ratings will continue to fall and so will corporate profits.

The press, like guns, has changed dramatically since 1787. And both require that responsible people are held to the changing dynamic that 21st century society requires.

It is time to hold the media accountable for violating the same trust we hold law-abiding gun owners to. The trust that those who speak the words across public airwaves understand that those words are as powerful as the bullets from a forty-five caliber handgun or AR-15.

To quote some wise men from a different time who offered our generation of Americans some real guidance:

“Without freedom of thought, there can be no such thing as wisdom, and no such thing as public liberty without freedom of speech.” - Ben Franklin

“Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost." And, "Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle." Thomas Jefferson

It is up to those who have the power of the media to exercise the wisdom to speak freely, but truthfully, or the trust we have in it will certainly be lost forever.

The US v NY and Its Green Light Law

On Thursday, Politico reported that New York’s Green Light Law was back in the news. US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced she was going to sue New York State, Governor Krazy Kat and NYAG Letitia James for not complying with federal immigration law.

 

The Green Light Law essentially blocks the Federal government and other entities from obtaining information on illegals who are registered with the New York DMV.

A little history on this law. In 2007, then-Governor Elliot Spitzer pushed for, and then signed, the law into effect. The only opponent? Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul.

Before she was appointed by Governor Spitzer, she had never won an elected office more prominent than a post on the Town of Hamburg’s board. Now that she’s being sued by AG Bondi, Krazy Kat is now positioned to be its most vocal champion.

“New York is proud that immigrants from across the globe come here searching for a better life, people like my grandparents who left Ireland looking for the American dream,” the now-governor said in response to Bondi’s announcement. “We welcome law-abiding individuals who want to work, pay taxes and contribute to our communities, while at the same time protecting the public safety of all New Yorkers by cracking down on violent criminals.”

The problem with her argument is two-fold. Her grandparents, like mine, came here legally, waiting for the Wheel of Fortune to spin and land on their number, and, they did not commit crimes after they got here. The government is looking for the illegals who have committed crimes.

The suit rests on statutory language that only allows the state to share information on licensees with immigration officials if there’s a court order or warrant. The DMV Green Light Law is REQUIRED to give the individuals a heads-up that their information has been sought.

“It’s tipping off an illegal alien, and it’s unconstitutional,” Bondi said on Wednesday. “That’s why we filed this lawsuit," said Bondi.

Hochul is digging in her heels and James is going all in too.

“That’s a common-sense approach that most New Yorkers support. But there’s no way I’m letting federal agents, or Elon Musk’s shadowy DOGE operation, get unfettered access to the personal data of any New Yorker in the DMV system like 16-year-old kids learning to drive and other vulnerable people.”

Until now, no one on the Federal side had the guts to challenge this law, which helped to make New York a “Sanctuary” State. The one-time opposition leader against this law is now the “Queen”, guarding the law-breakers. And James is her “Fool”. Let’s see how this plays for their reelection bids.

 Meanwhile, the law will be declared Unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and she will be forced to comply.

Money Laudering, Citibank and the Biden Regime

In 1970, the Congress passed the Bank Secrecy Act as the first laws to fight money laundering in the United States. The BSA requires businesses to keep records and file reports that are determined to have a high degree of usefulness in criminal, tax, and regulatory matters.

 

A bank is required to file Form 4789 with the IRS within ten days of a large deposit with the name and address of the customer making a deposit greater than $10,000. Stiff penalties are assessed for failure to do so.

Yesterday, we discovered in an article from the New York Post, that a $20Bn Biden Regime green-energy slush fund was collecting interest at Citibank and is being distributed without proper oversight, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin revealed in an exclusive interview.

Citibank should know that $20Bn is a couple of dollars more than $10,000. Senior executives had to realize a large deposit was made and should have been looking for the form.

Former President Joe Biden’s EPA parked $20Bn at the financial institution, as part of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. 

But the awardees weren’t announced until August 2024 and Citibank was not brought in officially until September, after Biden’s disastrous June debate performance led him to withdraw from his re-election effort in July, making for a very different race with former Vice President Kamala Harris the Democratic nominee.

But executives knew that their deposit portfolio balances exceeded the prior quarterly balances. They should have been asking questions and not turned a blind eye to such a questionable increase. Meanwhile, they were enjoying the largesse by making loans, earning interest and rewarding bonuses.

Ultimately, several Democrat Party favorites were awarded the funds, including the Native CDFI Network,  like “gold bars thrown overboard the Titanic” with no regard for the American taxpayers. And up until now, no penalties, fines and other anti-money laundering (AML) punishment has been assessed against the executives of Citibank.

As a retired banker, bank security officer and compliance officer, I find this highly irregular. And illegal. There is no way the bank would be able to circumvent punishment for “not knowing” the laundering was committed.

“Too Big To Fail” does not give the executives a “Get Out of Jail Free” card. Let’s hope the EPA, Treasury and DOJ see it the same way.

After all, we should have a Justice System which works the same for everyone.

A Man of Honor, Courage and Reasonableness

There are most Democrats when you listen to them, you know they are off the rails and out of touch with what most Americans find reasonable, and will at least consider. Those Democrats are the hopeless and helpless, blinded by their own narrow-minded views.

 

You KNOW who they are; they look for the spotlight and blather their irrational nonsense, usually on the Sunday morning news shows. Bobbing their heads up and down like bobble-head dolls.

And then, you have someone, say, like Dean Phillips from Minnesota, who was brave enough in 2024 to take on a sitting President, run against him for the nomination, and called out his party’s leaders for claiming he was still a mentally capable man, when even a twelve-year-old knew he wasn’t.

For that virtue of honesty, he lost his seat in the Congress and was banished. Never to be heard from again.

Until now.

It was reported in The Hill and other outlets that Dean Phillips is calling out his fellow Dems for protesting against the work that Elon Musk and DOGE are doing to expose the waste and fraud being discovered via these audits. He sat with CNN’s Laura Coates on Wednesday, and said Democrats are wrong to be attacking Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), arguing the American people are broadly supportive.

“Democrats are only focused on one thing right now, Mr. Musk. The fact of the matter, he’s quite popular. He has the largest platform in human history, which is, of course, Twitter/X. And I think we’re missing the boat as Democrats,” Phillips said in the interview.

“And all I’m saying is that sometimes it’s better to join them and actually play a role in how the strategy works, rather than so pathetically, frankly, try to combat something that clearly is a steamroller,” Phillips continued. “And Democrats are being steamrolled, and I’m deeply concerned about that.”

It is so refreshing to hear and read common sense from someone willing to stand up for what is right, even when it goes against his party's positions. The man has what we call courage and integrity.

And we thank you Mr Phillips for exemplifying what is missing from so many in your party. You are Man of Honor.

Let’s up more will come forth and stand with reasonableness.

More Confirmations Resolved and Some Yet to Come

As of late this morning, three of President Trump's more controversial nominees have now been confirmed. In one, Vice President Vance has to exercise his Constitutionally-authorized tie-breaking vote.

In all three votes, former Leader Mitch MConnell  went against the President and voted with the Democrats.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was confirmed 51 to 50, while Director Tulsi Gabbard and Secretary Robert Kennedy both squeaked by with 52 to 48 votes. But, thus far, no one has been denied.

Secretary Hegseth has been making promised improvements to the military, ending DEI in the troops, and dismissing failed woke Generals and Admirals.  This has given a true boost in troop morale downline.

Director Gabbard has promised she will immediately end the weaponization rampant in the Intelligence Community.  She will be a pillar in the Trump Administration to keep Americans safe from terrorism, both foreign and domestic.

Secretary Kennedy has been a fighter for injustice all his life, and like his namesake father, will root out corruption and decay in the HHS, including the FDA, CDC and NIH. He is fearless, and has proven his mettle as a disruptor to the status quo during his grueling nomination process to stand up for what he believes is right.

Still to come: a final vote on Kash Patel as FBI Director, who will overhaul the entire bureau, when confirmed. He needs to route the degenerate turpitude which has destroyed the Bureau’s reputation.

Also, Education Secretary Nominee Linda McMahon  has begun her first day of hearings. She has promised to work with the Congress, while downsizing and closing the Department, as much of what is done is returned to the States.

Others still to be heard from are Howard Lutnick, Commerce Secretary, Elise Stefanik,  UN Ambassador, and Lori Chaves-DeRemer, Labor Secretary are still among those to be considered.

It is a surely slow process,  but it is being done by the one hundred members of the most deliberative body in the world.

The Real Constitutional Crisis at Work

In Political Science, a “Constitutional Crisis” is a problem or conflict in the function of a government that the political constitution or other fundamental governing law is perceived to be unable to resolve.

 

The Watergate Scandal is the premier textbook example of a “Constitutional Crisis” where one co-equal branch of our government defied the other two co-equal branches of government, until ultimately, the President was forced to resign. Because he tried to run ramshod over the Constitution.

The "illiberal media" (which has no defined Constitutional power) and some Democrats (but not all) are decrying that we are facing a “Constitutional Crisis” three weeks in to the Trump Presidency. Why? Because he has decided to make good on promises he made that 77MM Americans expect him to keep.

So yes. There IS the making of said Crisis. But it is not President Trump who created it.

It is, instead, a handful of activist judges, and the special interests they answer to, who are creating this crisis.

No less than Constitutional lawyer Jonathon Turley made this point in yesterday’ edition. of the New York Post in an op-ed piece. Quoting:

This week, the Democrat Party jumped the Shark.

For years, Dems and their allies pushed the absurd claim that democracy was about to die if Joe Biden or Kamala Harris was not elected president. The public wasn’t buying it. In 2024, Donald Trump won a majority of the voters as well as control of both houses of Congress.

Rather than examine its messaging, Democrats decided to double down. After the election, politicians and pundits announced a new “constitutional Crisis” surrounding the effort to downsize the federal government led by Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

When you consider that some Democrats have been trying to undermine the election results since November, it isn’t a surprise that “Constitutional Crisis” would be their next “battle cry”, since everything else has failed. And the fact that Senator Schumer set up a “whistleblower hotline” which is backfiring against the Democrats is very telling.

The American people are no longer buying what the Democrats and their media pawns are selling. Sooner or later, all the activist judges’ TRO’s will be overturned as well, since THOSE ORDERS will be deemed Unconstitutional. Then, what will the Democrats and their cronies do?

There is a liberal newspaper in DC which created a unique tagline. But the publisher was not entirely correct.

It should be changed to read “Democracy Dies In Leftist Political Subterfuge”.
