With these words, PRESIDENT Donald Trump began his Second Inaugural Address and began to fulfill his campaign promises to restore American greatness to its former glories. He spoke about protecting the border, restoring energy independence, and began fighting the scourge of inflation.
There was much more but you get the point.
In his inaugural address, he said he would sign a "series of executive orders" that focus on immigration and the economy. Trump said he would declare a "national emergency at our southern border," halting immigration and deporting "criminal immigrants."
This was a slap at the sleeping man sitting behind him on his left, and the stooge who was the “Border Czar” for the four years. And it was wonderful to watch the standing ovation he received ar that moment.
Prices and inflation were consistently shown to be many Americans' top concerns. "My top priority will be to create a nation that is proud, prosperous and free," Trump said in his address.
He promised to sign many more executive orders to overhaul the disasters his predecessor created and then, sat with his hands folded while Trump listed some of them. And the audience stood and cheered.
During his inaugural address, Trump talked about the assassination attempt he survived during the campaign and said he believes he was "saved by God" for a purpose.
"They tried to take my freedom and, indeed, to take my life," Trump said. "I felt my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again."
And by God, he will.
