Enough of Calling Trump Homophobic

A review of the nominees put forth by the Trump transition team reveals an interesting fact. Donald Trump has nominated several gay and lesbian individuals to very key, high level positions.

For example, he has named Scott Bessent as Secretary of the Treasury, Ric Ginell as Presidential Envoy for Special Missions and Tammy Bruce as State Department Spokesperson. In all there are ten or more persons named to these posts, some of whom require Senate confirmation.

Perhaps, now, the Democrats, the media and others who suffer from TDS will realize and come to terms that President Trump is not the homophobic tyrant that these groups have claimed.

I sit here knowing that President Trump chose me because he believes I am the best candidate, not because of my sexual preference,” Bessent said during his confirmation hearing on Thursday. “I think it is a tribute to President Trump that he looks at people as people.”

This is the sentiment of his nominees across the board. He has chosen people regardless of their race, creed, gender or orientation. Isn’t that the goal? Choosing the best?

Trump’s appointments fly in face of dire warnings from Democratic LGBT activists during the 2024 race.

In January, the Philadelphia Inquirer quoted an anonymous gay man who said he was buying guns for fear of being “put in concentration camps.

Trump has proven already that this fear-mongering was all nonsense by his detractors. So let’s lower the temperature on this issue because it is stupid.

And let’s move to give the Trump Administration the chance to serve ALL Americans whoever they may be.
