It came the fore because it appeared in the conservative, online publication, The Western Journal yesterday. For full disclosure, I saw it there and then referred back to the original piece in the Missouri Times.
Mayor Fitwater is also the CEO of the Missouri Pharmacy Association. In his piece, he writes the following:
“Nearly two years after its passage, the IRA has diverted nearly $260 billion from the projected Medicare “savings” to pay for special interest handouts like large tax credits for costly electric vehicles, enormous subsidies paid to big health insurer-PBM corporations, and funding health care programs for illegal immigrants.
“The sleight-of-hand funding issues with the IRA are far from the only problems it creates for Medicare enrollees. The government intervention and bureaucratic mandates the IRA imposed on Part D, the Medicare program that covers prescription drugs, has caused a steep rise in prices for private sector Part D policies.”
His concern, which should be ours as well, is that the current administration is openly using funds which were earmarked for Medicare, and instead, using the funds to finance leftist priorities. The IRA essentially has become a piggy-bank for the Harris-Biden regime to “steal” money from seniors. In fact he actually says this:
“The Biden-Harris administration is not protecting Medicare; they’re stealing from it.”
It is time, right now, to demand that the current House of Representatives issue a “cease and desist” order to Secretary Yellen, CMS Administrator Brooks-LaSure, CMS Director Singh, Secretary Becerra, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and any other Administration official who may have access to these funds. It is not theirs to do what they want.
How DARE you lie to us and steal our money, forcing us to pay higher premiums for your greed?!? I hope you are all prosecuted for your crimes against the American Taxpayers and seniors you claim to protect. But instead, ABUSE!
Justice will soon be served on all of you.
