The Magic of October Baseball in 2024

As a New York Mets fan, I offer my sincerest congratulations to my friends who are fans of the New York Yankees. I am glad to see your team has moved onto the ALCS.

 

Trust me, I will be rooting for your team's success as much as I will do for my Orange and Blue.

You see, Mets fans have been waiting for a return match in the World Series, to even up against your win over our guys, these last twenty-four years. Yes, we have had our in-season matches, and although we have dominated the Yankees for the last few years, or at least, did not lay down, it isn’t the same.

Actually, over the last ten years, we are tied with twenty-four wins each. An omen, perhaps?

HMMMM...

But first, of course, our teams have to take care of the business at hand. The Mets play either the Padres or Dodgers, who play tonight, on Sunday, while the Yankees wait for the Guardians and Tigers to play Saturday, and will play the winner on Monday.

Then, on October 25, the 2024 World Series will begin. And hopefully, that rematch will be fulfilled.
