Barry Gets Called Out

It was reported earlier in the New York Post that Barry O pulled out the race card by criticizing Black men for not being more supportive of the Kamster. He said, “We have yet to see the same kinds of energy and turnout in all corners of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running,” Obama, 63, said at a “Black Voters for Harris” event in Pittsburgh, ahead of a rally for Kacklin' Kammy.

I also want to say that that seems to be more pronounced with the brothers,” he added, referring to black men.

Wow!

Imagine if Trump had decided to make a racist statement like that. He certainly would be held to the fire.

But wait!

It was reported in Friday afternoon’s The Hill that someone WAS annoyed at Barry for his comments.

Former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner argued Obama’s comments “belittled” Black men.

Why are Black men being lectured to? Why are Black men being belittled in ways that no other voting group?” Turner said Thursday night on CNN.

She added she has a “lot of love” for Obama, “but for him to single out Black men is wrong, and some of the Black men that I have talked to have their reasons why they want to vote a different way, and even if some of us may not like that, we have to respect it.”

Despite Black voters overwhelmingly showing support for Harris, 1 in 4 Black men under the age of 50 expressed support for Trump, a recent poll from NAACP and HIT Strategies found.

Senator Turner wasn’t the only person critical of Obama. Actor Wendell Pierce, who spoke on behalf of Kammy at the DNC, said Obama’s words sent an “awful message.

This accusatorial tone will make some Black men stay home, which is worse,” Pierce said.

Though Black voters, including Black men, voted overwhelmingly for President Biden in 2020, Trump did make inroads with Black men.

Maybe Barry isn’t the god he thought he was. Instead, he thought he was immune from even subtly being called out as a racist. Even if he was calling out Black men.

Looks like ol’ Barry was cut down several notches from his high-brow perch from where he least expected it.
